Re: Who here playes WoW?
Where does your Guild stand in Progression content? A lot of your guild mates are in Kara loot for the most part

Most of my gear i need from BT, we were gathering shadow gear for mother but an officer ninja'd all of our hearts and /gquit with a few other core raiders and officers, which meant we had to bring people in, and the replacement officers/raiders are pretty bad. I might be able to get a spot in another guild, but they're only 3/9 bt 4/5 hyjal and i really don't want to have to go through progression pains again. |

Re: Who here playes WoW?
okies quickie priest outlands leveling tips.
Any instance up to slave pens can be healed as shadow, you just have to try harder. If you skip slave pens you can probably heal underbog fine. Once you hit level 64/65 and want to heal instances you're probably going to have to go holy/disc. You can grind out levels by instance healing and it's pretty helpful because once you hit 70 you've got the rep for any heroic except TK ones. However instance grinding for exp is pretty slow. For healing instances leveling up I'd recommend speccing all the way into disc for improved Divine Spirit, then filling out the rest of your holy tree. An IDS build will basically carry you through all of t4 content. An IDS build generally looks like this: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=bxT0zhxzbZfhtcczqVhc a few points can be switched around, but that's the basic idea Once you hit around 1800 healing and 200mp5 while casting you've reached the level at which CoH is viable and you can drop IDS. General 5man/kara healing tips: Prayer of mending on the tank before the pull. The healing aggro when mending gets bounced goes toward the person it healed rather than yourself, so it's a nice way to frontload the tank with some aggro. Using it every cooldown is recommended as well. Downrank your greater heals appropriately. Figure out which rank heals heal for what. My rank 1 gheal hits for about 3k, but for tank healing figure out what rank you should used based upon your +heal. It's recommended not to go below a 2.5k heal. Use a maco or clique to downrank. If a tank is taking normal damage toss out a lower rank, if the tank is taking a lot of damage go max. Fiddle with the 5 second rule, practice precasting and stopcasting (casting a heal and then stopping it if the tank doesn't need healing). |
