Re: Suspicious Scores thread (Formerly Hacked Scores)
Would you guys call bs if I made an alt, AAA-ed CCCP in under 10 tries, and said "it's easy"? (Of course, you wouldn't know it was me.)

Re: Suspicious Scores thread (Formerly Hacked Scores)
Yes, except that it's not the score that's bs, but the idea that someone made an alt to do it. You'll probably go unnoticed if it's a 11 or easier.

Re: Suspicious Scores thread (Formerly Hacked Scores)
On top of that, no one goes ****ing apeshit over a 10 AAA, because the people who actually care about hacked scores are the top tier players.

Re: Suspicious Scores thread (Formerly Hacked Scores)
You need to realize that people botting 10s or under is less obvious than people who bot really good scores on FGOs. This doesn't necessarily mean that we don't care about those hacked scores.

Re: Suspicious Scores thread (Formerly Hacked Scores)
Great point, Emithith! Since only the top tier players actually matter, maybe it'd be easier to just prevent people from posting on the forums until they get their 20th FGO AAA. And hey, that would curb trolling and flaming too! Can you imagine the impact? You must be the smartest person in the entire community!

Re: Suspicious Scores thread (Formerly Hacked Scores)
Playing the devil's advocate here, on the other hand, you don't want to carelessly make accusations here and there on various users, because it's an alienating act for the accused that are indeed legit. Happens, but not as of late.
in this case, "bitchslapp" is likely an alt of some sort; a new user wouldn't typically name his/her first account like that |

Re: Suspicious Scores thread (Formerly Hacked Scores)
You see, I need to point out the difference to people reacting to statements that I say here, and across the forums

back to my point: Just saying that the D6ers should react to the hacked scores like the D4-5 players, who just laugh at the score and wait for it to be removed. edit: yeah also I can see where a lot of people felt attacked when I said my first comment on this page, sorry about that. Hopefully we can just talk about bitchslapp now Last edited by Emithith; 03-13-2012 at 01:42 PM.. |

Re: Suspicious Scores thread (Formerly Hacked Scores)
haha oh wow
You're telling me you seriously think it's fine to insult kmay's skills, just because he said he cares about the high scores on a game he has invested a lot of time into? You're telling me THAT kind of behavior isn't making the forums worse, but calling you on it is? Get a grip. If anyone's hurting the community, it's people like you, who think we should all make fun of anyone who cares about the game. That kind of ODI attitude almost killed the competitive SM community years ago, and in fact it eventually killed ODI itself. It's impossible to have a healthy community when the people who want the site to be better are constantly being attacked for it. Honestly, if you don't care about the game, maybe you should just post some porn and get permabanned. Nobody will miss you.

Re: Suspicious Scores thread (Formerly Hacked Scores)
@qq: I think there was just a lot of misinterpretation going on. Kmay posted in response to Emithith's comment about top-tier players, saying he cares. Kmay posted that in an attempt to debunk Emithith's comment because he doesn't consider himself a top-tier player. Emithith commented on kmay's comment, by basically saying that kmay is a top-tier player and that kmay's comment isn't supporting kmay's counter-argument. The edit was only to come to a compromise to acknowledge that kmay isn't a top-tier player, but is at least a higher-tier player and that his point still stands. Also, Emithith just made a observation when making that comment on top-tier players, he wasn't trying to support a claim or suggest an action that the community should take. He was just stating that it seems like only top-tier players care about hacked scores, that doesn't mean he doesn't think that should be changed, in fact I believe (and probably Emithith as well) that more of the community, including the lower-tier players, should take an interest in ridding the site of botted/hacked scores.
Great, now can everyone stop ****ing around and attacking people and get back on topic. Geez.... |
