Re: Whoa... I haven't seen this place in a while
Well considering it appears that your last activity was around 2006, I can name off a few things of varying importance:
- Obviously the site has had a complete visual change. - Metrivia doesn't exist anymore - FFR Radio doesn't exist anymore - Psychopath doesn't exist anymore - FFR R^2 as you know it doesn't exist, but instead is a beta engine test to aid in the production of FFR R^3 - Old blue note syndrome (BNS), Synthlight, and other old off-sync files have all been moved to the Legacy genre. They are still public scoring files. - Tier system was changed (and made a lot harder) since 2006 - The addition of who knows how many tokens and skill tokens - The addition of the anti-cheat replay system (allowing for a full frame by frame breakdown and visual of people's replays, to test for legitimacy). - The prevention of negative scores being recorded when playing FFR - FFR speed-mods, effects, multiplayer side masking, and a choice of note-skins while playing. - Multiplayer leveling system change (9 levels or higher apart cannot gain/lose level from each other). - The ability to save replays of results you've gotten in game (150 per person, and can be deleted at whim) - The addition of around 800 new songs (and more every week or so) - Profiles are completely redone, have two different designs, and an option to toggle foggy AAA/FC bars - Profile Chat is not in beta, and has some insane admin features. - Captain Jack was also removed due to copyright issues (along with the other songs mentioned) - As others have said, the average miss glitch is gone. - Arrow keys are not mandatory for FFR play anymore (custom key layout) - There is a little credit jackpot thing to guess how many arrows have been hit. If you are the closest, you get all the pot's credits. - People have custom engines on various websites with converted levels you can play. Some have scoring, others do not. - FFR mirror sites are for the most part down or useless at this point - Subscribers don't exist anymore. The replacement was "Veteran Status" where you have 3 years and 3 billion grand total (or a higher GT and less time spent here, 10 billion / 10 months is the earliest possible). - Support tokens are not bought anymore, they are obtained through these requirements (and albums / other accessories aren't included). - You missed Vertex Beta vROFL entirely I believe, top 8 in tournaments get this joke file / token. Additionally, 1 billion GT in a day or 50 bil total GT unlocks it for you. - FFR Spon-Cons, where a random challenge is issued by a moderator (pretty much nois) and winner(s) get credits and a choice of one of the new event tokens (FREEDOM DiVE or The Wises Were Wrong). - FFR shop / store doesn't exist anymore. - The wheel was invented - Level stats show the top 200 scores, and also have audio preview, a chart / replay preview, and an NPS graph for the song. - FFR stat sigs / cards have been improved. - You can compare your level stats with other people now. - The things everyone else in this thread said. You get it, a crap load of things happened since '06.
