Default NFL's greatest franchise.

Today, a friend and I were debating who the all time greatest NFL franchise is. I want the members of FFR to give their own opinion. Also, please do not vote for a team simply because they are your favorite team.

Edit: please do not vote against a team because you simply hate them.

It's easy. The Steelers. 6 SB titles. More than any other franchise.

Aside from the Green Bay Packers a couple years ago when they had Favre, the Dallas Cowboys have the largest fan-base in the NFL. It can be debated that the largest franchises are any of the 4 teams in the NFC East but Dallas wins by a long shot.

They have the biggest, but Steelers have been voted better fan base than the Cowboys by two sites.

And that is exactly why you cannot go by sports news sites. Each set of reporters is biased in one way or another. Take FOX Sports for example. Joe Buck and Troy Aikman usually will have the call for the Dallas games. While watching these games do you ever hear many bad things being said about the Cowboys? What about when John Madden had the call for a Raiders game? The bias in sports news is so great that you prefer the groups that lean more for your team, hence why I prefer Fox Sports.

Well what makes the Cowboys the greatest franchise?

The only place the Steelers beat the Cowboys is in Super Bowl Wins. Since their inception into the league in 1960, the Dallas Cowboys have made 10 Super Bowl appearances, winning 5, they have been to the post-season 25 times, and team is valued at $1.7 billion. Since the Steelers were founded in 1933 they have made 25 post-season trips, made 7 Super Bowl appearances, winning 6, and the team is valued at $1 billion(post-season and super bowl appearances both contain numbers from pre-1966).

That is since they joined the NFC. Dallas originally started in the NFL Eastern Conference, winning 2 championships(1966 and 1967).

Those aren't sb's, those are Conference championships. Super Bowl one was played on January 15, 1967.

The Cowboys have only made 8 "Super Bowl" appearance's.

Winning a Conference Championship puts you in the Championship game..

But it's not a Super Bowl. The first Super Bowl was played on January 15, 1967. The Cowboys have 8 Super Bowl trips.

This is not accurate since the first Super Bowl was played on January 15, 1967. You can't have Super Bowl numbers from pre-1966 since the first Super Bowl was not played until January 15, 1967.

So the 6-time World Champion Pittsburgh Steelers have the most NFL Championships according to you.

The Patriots had there time in the spot lite, you gotta hand it to them for there dynasty, they were simply unstoppable. The Steelers on the other hand, 6 rings is a very significant accomplishment. Also they are always a contender to be in the playoffs every year.

How can you even class the Patriots with Dallas and Pittsburgh? Sure they had that one really good year but both Dallas and Pittsburgh had dynasties(note the plural use of the word). As much as I may differ in opinion with Pittsburgh fans I will not class New England with teams that have proven themselves great time and time again.

Honestly bandwagon plays a huge part in fan-base. This year being either Indi or NO.
