Re: Submitting Event Ideas
if there's one in Chicago/St Louis/Kansas City I'd be able to attend as well (as long as it isn't during the summer, I'll be back in Panama by then.. unable to attend)

Re: Submitting Event Ideas
Yeah, one in the center of the country would be nice. It's actually a good location, since people on all sides of the country wouldn't have to travel across the WHOLE country to arrive at the convention destination. Just half way at most haha
I've looked around for some conventions in the KC area and found nothing. I could go to St. Louis, but I doubt I could make it to a Chicago one Locations I'll look for: Kansas City St. Louis Chicago Des Moines Spingfield MO? |

Re: Submitting Event Ideas
FFR should have an appearance at the Fusion Gaming Convention, which sadly, is not happening this year, but will be next year.
It takes place in Roanoke VA, and they have tournaments for Un real Tournament, Halo, Guitar Hero, DDR, Smash Bros., and a bunch of other games. |

Re: Submitting Event Ideas
I think getting a booth or room at Animazement would be a good idea. I don't know if anyone has heard of it, but it's an anime convention held every Memorial Day weekend in Durham, NC. Maybe a good idea for some time in the future?

Re: Submitting Event Ideas
That's a good idea. Alot of us VA people would be able to go since Durham is only a 4-5 hour drive from here.

Anime Expo. near LA, so i'd play the role of local contact (like Kwik did with Animarathon)... not until July, so time to plan... and, what's that? oh yea... LARGEST ANIME CONVENTION IN NORTH AMERICA.

The convention is called AnimeNEXT, and the event date has been pushed to July 6th. I'd say the attendance is high, yet the convention isn't entirely focused on industry news. Aside from anime, it also has a lot of fan-organized activities.

July? I'll have graduated and turned 18 so this could be a possibility. Would you be willing to put me up in your place with Whorli?

Re: Submitting Event Ideas
Agreed, but probably not going to happen. I might fly to the US just to go to one, lol. Hold one in the summer so I can go.

Re: Submitting Event Ideas
I'll look and see if there are any summer conventions here in Vegas. Also, if FFR is in CA, don't ban me on site rofl.

Re: Submitting Event Ideas
Chicago would be a great place to have a convention, primarily because FFR was born out of a Chicago suburb and the host server is located in the city. I instantly thought of ACEN and Anime Reactor... I'll look into other conventions and see what I can come up with.

Re: Submitting Event Ideas
It would be really cool if there was a convention in Toronto.
I mean, Anime North is every year. And it's only an hour and a half away from me. Plus, Canada totally rocks. =]
