It doesn't look too good to me. Maybe it's just because I want to see a live action Batman movie where Mr. Wayne is literally insane. You know, just like he would be if Batman were real.
Either way, the cartoon from the 90s handled Batman excellently and I don't see why they don't just copy that totally. I mean, why would Batman have a friggin tank instead of a car? And why must they constantly change the design of the bat logo on his chest? Imagine if in each subsequent Spider-man movie they would change the shape and positioning and the look of the spider on his chest... wouldn't that be retarded as hell? I think the same applies here. Anyway, it's probably still a decent movie. You can't make a movie with Batman in it and the movie not be at least OK. It definitely won't touch Burton's masterpiece though. Well, I'm done ranting now. PS Scarecrow is just about the worst Batman villain ever. Then again, I hear that Spider-man 3 is gonna have Sandman in it... so I guess the movie industry is going out of it's way to pick the lamest villains possible.

STFU Afrobean. I have no problem with you being prejudice about the movie, but I'll be damned if you go and insult the Scarecrow. He wasn't as awesome as others, but by no means was he the worst.

I'll admit that I may have exaggerated Scarecrow's suckiness, but you gotta admit that they only used Scarecrow becuase they wanted a new villain and all the better ones were all ready used.
Actually, I'm probably just sore that they didn't use a classic like the Joker to tell the story of Batman's origins. A hero's origin generally has the most classic villain, but this one doesn't.

Afro, God forbid they show Batman's development in a movie about his origins. Nobody could just up and turn into the classic Batman that everyone knows. He has to go through some changes, so why can't his car? He took what was available. It's not like Wayne Enterprises had a modern Batmobile lying around. That's about the worst complaint I've ever heard.
And about Scarecrow, it's obvious that you wanted the cartoon in a live action movie. Well, it's a good thing they didn't do that, because the Scarecrow was made awesome in this movie. That, and they couldn't actually bring anything in, because this movie, in fact, was Batman BEGINS, not Batman the Animated series. --Guido http://andy.mikee385.com |

Batman the Animated series was good, but if that TV show and the movies are all you know about Batman and his villains, you have no idea. I don't want to go through comic after comic after comic, though, you can pick up the book Batman: No Man's Land, which is just about the coolest damn book ever. You'll never look at the Joker the same way.

There's nothing wrong with Sandman. He happens to be a really complex character. Seriously.
How about Christian Bale, though? I've seen him in American Psycho and Romeo and Juliet(or A Midsummer Night's Dream, I don't remember), and I think he's a pretty decent actor. |

Christian Bale was perfect for the role, guy Pearce would have don well too if they had chosen him...
I think its safe to say that Christopher Nolan is my favorite director and he's only done 3 real movies... but what a 3 Insomnia Memento Batman Begins This movie was technically gorgeous and outstanding. Every detail was perfect, and it ressurected a dead series. Man, I can't wait for The Exec I also like the reuse of a lot of actors in his movies

Of course, the average movie goer would rather see something new and amazing no matter how illogical it may be, so I suppose that makes me a minority.

Right, but what if... Just saying, God forbid, Batman would get into a situation where a normal car wouldn't do? I mean, it's not typical of Batman to do anything really daring. I do remember one time he got a nasty cut opening a can of Pringles, but I think that's as dangerous as it gets for Batman.
Also, if you've seen the movie, they explain where he gets all of his stuff. It's not like he modded his Hummer into the Batmobile in this movie; it was a weapon created by the Wayne Industries for creating bridges. But, you're still going to be prejudiced against the movie no matter what. I mean, I at least gave it a try. Oh, and yeah, I loved it. Mal

This movie was really great. I consider it the best Batman movie out right now. The last two where just so friggin gay with robin and batman being all joking and crap all the time. They took a much more dark approach this time. I like it.
BTW another great movie Christian Bale is in is Equilibrium. This movie rocks but hardly anyone has heard of it.
