That's working too.
I'm gonna be hitting these songs tomorrow - I should at least have a Rage Template AAA by tomorrow because I've AAA'd the mid-section quite a few times already. |

Re: ITT you request isolation files for practice
Almost done downloading the offline engine to this computer (It's on the other comp), when it's done I'll DL all the files. Are you able to update that XML file Rubix? XD

Re: ITT you request isolation files for practice
I already updated the XML file with each upload -- it includes everything. You just copy and paste it into your own XML file that you extract from the server

Re: ITT you request isolation files for practice
No idea what you're downloading that's so large but this is what I have:
Make a folder, name it FFR. Right-click and save these files to the FFR folder. http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/ffrchatS_keymap.swf http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/t-authenticate.php http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/t-ffrcreditmove.php http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/t-ffrstatsread.php http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/t-ffrstatsup.php http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/t-loadswf.php http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...edbacktest.php http://www.mediafire.com/?0jbsbfs34eq58lm ^The offline engine I use. It's hardcore outdated but I can't be bothered to fiddle with a new version. Add two more folders in the FFR folder -- "levels" and "sounds" All level swf files go in levels. In the sounds folder, you can place whatever mp3 you want in here to play as your FFR engine BG song, but I think you have to name it plains.mp3 or something like that (can't recall).

I just downloaded it -- it's pretty much the same thing, just with a bunch of songs pre-loaded into it

Re: ITT you request isolation files for practice
Ah I posted the pastebin thing on those by mistake (freaking "Copy Link" function on Mediafire only seems to work half the time). I'll add the correct links when I get home.

Re: ITT you request isolation files for practice
How to make your own isolation file (you will need a working version of Flash for editing the .fla files and Actionscript, and you'll need a decompiler):
1. Download relevant .swf from http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/levels/level_#.swf where # is the number corresponding to the song you want. Your levelranks page is good for extracting the song number (for instance, Excite Bike's is http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/....php?level=296 so you'd get the .swf from http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/.../level_296.swf) 2. Get a Flash decompiler. Decompile the .swf into its .fla format. You'll need the full version of something like Sothink to do this. Open the .fla in Flash. 3. On the second action-frame of the file, you'll see a _root.beatbox array that contains all the steps in the file. Find out which section corresponds to your desired isolation piece. You can typically do this by listening to the music track in the file and figuring out which frames correspond to that point on the Flash timeline. Remove all steps from the beatbox variable that don't coincide with your desired isolation. 4. Through whatever means you want, scale back all the numbers in your stepfile isolation such that the first step lands on frame 69. So if the first step in your isolation typically corresponds to frame X, subtract (X-69) from all steps. 5. On frame 50, add a new actionscript keyframe on a new layer and add the code "gotoandplay(X-20);" where X corresponds to the frame denoted in step 4. This makes it so the music scales with the steps correctly. This gives a bit of extra breathing room before the isolation part begins. 6. Go to Publish Settings and make sure you change the sound settings so that the music quality is at 160 or so. 7. Export the whole thing as swf under naming scheme level_#.swf where # is a number of your choosing. 8. Add XML to your feedback file that corresponds to using the number # as denoted in step 7. Example XML can be seen http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=RuGSUxB9 9. ??? 10. Profit!
