Default Bash Me

Okay, I actually opened up FL Studio for the first time in months yesterday. I was just screwing around, and I came up with this. Keep in mind it's not finished yet, and it's really repetitive because it's just the build-up.

Salvage [Demo]

Critique, flame, etc. Thanks.

I think that it's good so far. Just add some diversity in the middle and the end.

Not really digging the choice of synth for your lead right now, but that's just me. It also seems like your snare is cutting too much into the high-end (more so than your open hi-hat).

Other than that, it sounds pretty sweet. Hurry up and finish it! :O

Also, shame to know that you let your talent rest for a couple months, don't let yo'self get rusty. :O

I think your lead is cutting into the mids of your bassline.

Hmmm.... That's pretty tight dude. It needs some work, of course, but it's coming along VERY nicely. A couple things that I personally think fixing:

1. The kick.

Pump up the impact on that thing, man! The kick has PLENTY of bass, but it sounds a tad weak on impact and (perhaps) volume, the snare and ride overpower it a bit.

2. The high end synths.

While the bass and mid-range synths for this song are dang well balanced, the high end sounds kinda empty. Pump up the volume on the high end synths, or perhaps layer a string or short plinky-type-synth over them to give them a bit more volume.

That's about all I've got for now.... Keep on adding to it, I'm looking forward to hearing the complete version!
