I have similar problems like you on other stuff you mentioned. Lower your speedmod a bit so the frames are not lolwtf and screencut maybe to compensate speed. I wonder if people actually care about feedback. lol Last edited by Hakulyte; 02-23-2011 at 07:46 PM.. |

Re: What are your weaknesses in FFR?
I'd say my greatest weakness would be a lack of control on one-handed patterns. Streets is a FABULOUS example of it...despite it being a VC, I can't even SDG.
Aside from that, PAing left-handed jacks. I could mirror the file, sure, but for songs like Battle Theme #37 where the second half is stepped as a reflection of the first, this merely delays the inevitable more often than not. Hell, even the opening jack in XP Sounds Attempt commonly gives me a grab bag of goods, avs, boos and even misses unless I mirror it. One more thing that comes to mind is patterns that layer additional notes during a jack. Example songs that come to mind include Planetz, PE Gymnastics, and the ending of bmv.578. (Club and AIM Anthem has these in abundance during the second half, but you all knew that.) Visions and Force of Light include a couple of slower but similar patterns: [12][13][12][13] and so forth. If the jack is on one hand and the alternating notes are on the other, such as [14][24][14][24], it's not so hard to divorce the motions so long as I can keep up with the jack. |

Re: What are your weaknesses in FFR?
Here's a little test for you igotrhythm(or anyone with jacks problems), take one of those files, let's say AIM Anthem (because it's a really good file that will try it's best to make you tap keys hard) and challenge yourself to keep your hands as relax as possible during the whole thing. It doesn't matter if you mess up or anything. You simply probably have a bad reflex due to how you handle jumps/jacks in general and the best way to keep control on those files is to learn to control your stamina and the less strength you use tapping, the more energy you'll have on those mean critical moments(like the alternating jumpjacks section). I literally went from 75+ goods on AIM Anthem to AAA just by optimizing this (and mirroring alternating jumps 'cause I'm better on right hand).

Re: What are your weaknesses in FFR?
Or one could practice Sandstorm Oni on SM for jumpjacks.
Jacks on Largiloquent help you control your jacking speed. Maybe one can start jacking by playing XP sounds attempt, good slow jack for practicing consistency and having a steady beat. For minijacks, a decent practice song would probably be fuurin in SM (Dark Chancellor Pack). Or Miraiya on FFR which has minijacks |

Re: What are your weaknesses in FFR?
right handed trills and really fast jacks, that is it. If that were fixed, I could AAA nearly every song in the game (nearly, some are quite ridiculous).
Only reason I can't AAA Little God Channel is because half the song has right handed trills (if you mirror, the other half has them too so...) 11Eleven? Jump trills result in right handed trills...Schmollbluk? Bursts and jumptrills result in right handed trills. ****, even GGC would be AAA'able if it weren't for the damn trills. Damn you TRILLS!!!! I can do the jacks, it's just inconsistent, that's how I can do RunnyMorning etc.

Re: What are your weaknesses in FFR?
I'd say the backgrounds (for songs that have them), and left handed trills. The biggest problem though is just synth files. I suck so bad at those.

Re: What are your weaknesses in FFR?
The biggest one is stamina. As for patterns, Slow long trills (Max Forever), Those Triplet Roll things (Night & Day), and pretty much anything where i hit the same arrow for more than 6 seconds whether it be fast or slow.
I guess another handicap if you would call it one is Windows Vista and my Trashed Keyboard. But Meh, I just wish i could FC everything clean, don't really care about AAA's much.

Re: What are your weaknesses in FFR?
-left handed trills
-songs that have no sound on the "on beat" -complex rhythms consisting of random sixteenth/32nd notes and sixteenth/32nd rests -jump-trills that require tapping the same key [12][13][12][13] or [13][14][13][14], etc -16th note streams with 32nd notes randomly inserted between some of the 16th notes- -fast trills (mostly one handed) -AAA anything higher than level 2 difficulty -___- (don't tease) -accuracy (as you can see from the previous item. I just seem to get random goods all the time.) |

Re: What are your weaknesses in FFR?
All the songs IMO aren't stamina draining for me, except RATO I guess. Stepmania helps you with stamina. Once you have the stamina, you have more confidence in accuracy so it's good to have a lot of stamina.

Re: What are your weaknesses in FFR?
I noticed stepmania helps alot. I started playing a song...got a sucky score. I played some stepmania for a little. Then I started playing the same song and the number of goods I got was halved.

I dont see why everyone has so much trouble with jacks. I've been doing it since I was 11 years old.

Re: What are your weaknesses in FFR?
Left handed trills. Hence why Blooddrunk is my worse ranked song.

Re: What are your weaknesses in FFR?
- 8th jumps > 220bpm. I don't mean jump jacks or easy repetitive jump patterns. I mean stuff like the jumps in the middle of BB Evo (they are slow enough though), Of Course You NEED Me, Reality. I can't read them. inb4 people pick these songs in the tourney.
- 16th jumps > 130bpm. Again, not stupid jacks or easy repetitive patterns. - Long right handed trills. - Minijacks. Left hand especially. - Fast, dense jumpstream. Not much of that on FFR so it's ok. Except lol kidney stone. - Reality. I think that's it. |
