Disabling comments applies to your whole profile?! D:

Did a forum search on this, nothing pertaining to what I want to post. So here I go. :3

Yep. Just making sure FFR isn't glitching or anything.
I wanted to disable my profile comments for a certain reason, so I did. I still want to leave a place for people to contact me if needed, though; so I created a Random Thought that substitutes as a place for profile comments. Unfortunately, that "Disable comments" option applies to Random Thoughts as well, yet the Random Thought still shows the link for adding comments... O.o So I was thinking there just may be something up with FFR today? *shrugs*

Anyone know for sure?

Oh... and when I tried commenting my own Random Thought as a test, I just got redirected to my profile after clicking on the post/submit button and the comment didn't go through... >.>

Just make a random thought that says "if you want to contact me send me a pm"

Yeah, true. But I wanted it to still work like profile comments would, you know? There's that difference with PMs that I wanted to avoid.

But if all else fails, I wouldn't mind if I had to just stick to PMs.

Use the editor thing and take off your comment wall, but still allow comments.

But the reason why I disabled profile comments in the first place was to keep the current comments I have showing on my profile up. Anyone else have any suggestions?

And I guess FFR wasn't just glitching yesterday when I was trying to self comment my Random Thought? That option really is just meant to apply to your whole profile. D: Lame. lol

Well yeah, if there aren't any other suggestions or anything, I'll just stick to PMs...

Delete comments after you get them, but don't delete what you want to save. I do that.
