Re: Epic moment in my gaming history
I once got a Larvesta to evolve into a Volcarona in Pokemon Black. I even wasted a few Rare Candies in this challenge.

Re: Epic moment in my gaming history
Getting 100% on The World Ends With You.
Over 300 mastered pins, 470+ items, and finding all 96 Noise (to put in perspective how hard it is to find the last one, I have found it 6 times. The other guys it'll rarely show up with, I've killed over 4000 of). Took over 200 hours to do. Minor ones were 100% completing Luminous Arc 2 (at time time, no one on GameFAQS could figure out how. There were like 5 threads saying "I'm at 99% help" and I saved and noticed 100%) and having supped every single one of Middie's times on MegaMan Battle Network 6. |

100% Final Fantasy XIII (never again), the first one getting 279 rings in Mystic Mansion as Team Rose on Sonic Heroes and 100% on Super Monkey Ball 2.

Re: Epic moment in my gaming history
I don't even have the attention span to play video games anymore. Something is wrong with me. Or I guess just everything bores me. I want to be interested in games like I used to be in middle school and elementary school.

Man, I completely understand how you feel. Games are so boring to me nowadays it's not even funny.

Beat Tales of Symphonia including Abyssion/secret Nifleim dungeon, other optional bosses with: 1/2 exp on Mania mode, using very few items....god that playthrough took forever...and so many boss retries etc. >_< Didn't even get close to the level 200 max, let alone level 100.

Re: Epic moment in my gaming history
I guess hitting a clip in Gow3 that got me first place on a top 5 plays.
Nothing really outstanding I can think of to be honest. Being l4d on expert was pretty cool.

Re: Epic moment in my gaming history
1. Playing Doom for the first time (played Amiga and such before that)
2. When I was a kid my grandma won a full Sega Genesis arcade. Pretty big and epic. 3. When my Uncle gave me his Quake 2... I played Quake 1 before that so I was very excited about Q2... was amazing. In terms of actual epic gameplay though... I had so many i cant really list it lol |

I have never been so nervous in my life. This meant everything to me when I was 10.

Re: Epic moment in my gaming history
1. 100% OoT (All Skulltula's or however you spell them and full heart containers)
2. 100% Skyrim (Every single quest done, plus all skills at 100) 3. 100% Mass Effect 1 (All achievements and storylines done with each class) 4. Beating Majora's Mask (I dunno about you, but beating this at 12 was hard as fuck for me) 5. Getting a 50 in Halo 3 (Team Doubles woo woo) 6. 99% Gran Turismo 4 (there's this one driving mission that's fucking impossible) 7. Getting all 151 Pokemon and having them at lvl 100 was cool

Re: Epic moment in my gaming history
I beat every staff ghost in Mario Kart DS as well as having a top 10 score on Peach Circuit. Sadly my LR buttons don't work anymore and I can't keep playing it. My scores are nowhere near as good and what was top 10 three years ago is likely to be top 500

Re: Epic moment in my gaming history
I used to have a top 10 score on pretty much every course in Burnout Revenge on crash mode on the original Xbox.
When I played WoW, my guild pulled off a 10 man OS 3 drake zerg run the night before the Ulduar patch was released. I've gotten a total of 5 perfections in Halo games since I made my gamertag just about 3 years ago.

Re: Epic moment in my gaming history
Just cause everyone I know says it's a bullshit game, I'll put Ninja Gaiden for the NES. Can beat the first stage without getting hit and can get to area 6-2, but jesus that game gets unfair at the end. Other than that, getting 3 stars on most tracks on Mario Kart: Super Circuit and I'm hoping to add 7 Day Survivor from Dead Rising to my list once I can find the time.

Re: Epic moment in my gaming history
I started into this and was literally one trophy away when I realized I had sold rings that i was supposed to keep for modifying later..wasted 60+ hours of post-game shit. Goddamn that was painful
I dunno what I can put for achievements really...started to get into World's Hardest Game (not 2 that one is just retarded) and my best finish is with 23 deaths so far Had a top 10 time trial on Luigi Circuit for MK Wii at one time too, regional 2nd place on Dry Dry Ruins. Most games I get into wanting to get really good at them but quickly realize the time needed to be invested to be at the top and it just isn't worth it so I quit lol. Stepmania is an exception I guess Last edited by Dynam0; 01-23-2013 at 12:09 AM.. |

I'm not sure if it's just the notion of having more responsibilities / less time as an adult, or if games just genuinely suck now in terms of gameplay compared to games of the 90's/early 2000's. No more 3-month summers to blow on playing shit at will without any other cares/concerns. Probably a mixture of both -- I still enjoy playing through the oldies from time to time. When you're young, you have time and energy, but no money. When you're middle-aged, you have money and energy, but no time. When you're old, you have time and money, but no energy.
