Re: Songs of the Week (June 8, 2013)
Yeah, LITTLE MERMAID is like... I don't know. It's a really odd file because the song is "gross" on purpose. The chart itself though kind of captures that "grossness" of the song, but man. I think it's one of those songs where I think it's just not going to be friendly in terms of steps.
Unless you understep it, but then it'll just be an annoying easy song. |

Re: Songs of the Week (June 8, 2013)
The point of the little mermaid's heavy layering is for a headbanging effect. Do the headbanging for every quad and the file makes sense.

Re: Songs of the Week (June 8, 2013)
Y'all are taking LITTLE MERMAID way too seriously
JUST LISTEN TO THE SONG THE STEPS FIT IT PERFECTLY LMFAO C'mon guys have we gotten to the point where every release has to be a goddamn ~stepman theatre masterpiece artmania file~ What ever happened to just enjoying mashing jumps and quads to a "song" about Disney and seatbelts On a serious note, I am glad to hear people are enjoying Negions Fail. Incident Zero turned out a little easier and more "sparse" in places than I would have wanted but I am not too ashamed of it overall. I hope people enjoy it as well.

Re: Songs of the Week (June 8, 2013)
Seriously guys do some headbanging to The Little Mermaid and the file makes sense haha.
It's one of the few exceptions to very heavy layering because it does carry out its intended effect |

Re: Songs of the Week (June 8, 2013)
Negions Fail is by far the best file of this week. Incident Zero was pretty fun too though and the little mermaid is just a silly file. Didn't like Zombie Killing and Stepfile This. Zombie had awkward transitions and stepfile this feels uneventful, boring and sounds like one of those shitty guitar hero songs just made for extra difficult charts in guitar hero (it's not your steps carlos, it's the song itself that makes this file bleh).

I'm sure most people don't actually expect master pieces, but they at least expect something that's not reminiscent of how obnoxious blue note charts are to play. Quote:
On that note, Zombie Killing is pretty fun. I'm slightly disappointed though that one of the guitar parts was neglected, but eh. Not the most damning thing ever. Pretty fun stuff there. |

The Little Mermaid is pretty fun for being a dump. (A well made one, lol.)

Re: Songs of the Week (June 8, 2013)
A song that isn't flooded with unnessesary 128th triplets jump streams over technical 64th bearing parallel charting?
That's just not even fun

Re: Songs of the Week (June 8, 2013)
So happy Negions Fail got released... I remember giving it a 9/10 and only taking off 1 point because hi19 missed the repeated taps when the synth comes in about 1/3rd of the way into the song, otherwise it could have been my 5th [++] as a judge, aha.
So fun |
