Re: JACKHAMMER SADNESS
I hate them, they suck. Watching Eze when he streamed was like the most fascinating thing in the universe cause they sucked that much to me.

Re: JACKHAMMER SADNESS
Jacks are probably my worst aspect, I need to work on stuff like maid of fire, grind em out. I really enjoy a nice minijack though, getting better at them.. Things like big blue or black key etude in FFR
This might be deep, but are trills technically jacks, in a way? I mean, if you are doing a trill that uses both hands, you are essentially just doing a jack on each hand.. That being said, my right handed jacking is better, probably cause I play guitar and jacks are more similar to strumming than they are to fingering notes... Im weird, been working hard on right hand speed.. I can trill blooddrunk, the first part, at like 1.4x rate (the left hand one hand trills) but I can barely trill the right handed ones at 1x :/ |

Re: JACKHAMMER SADNESS
Naw, trills and jacks are pretty different in the way they feel. A long 32nd trill would feel much different than one long 16th jack of either arrow, and then even more different if was a long jump jack. I see what you're saying, but the execution is just so so different.

Re: JACKHAMMER SADNESS
well trills literally are just 2 offset jacks on each hand

Re: JACKHAMMER SADNESS
OMG can't forget about trills.
there's a lot of good that comes out of practicing trills helps a FUCK TON with jumpstream and handstream definitely helps with jacks imo just sayin, i feel like i could never get a grip on jumpstream until i practiced the fuck out of one-handed trills wow trills are mad cool yo, same. i think this applies to right handed drummers too, if you lead with your right hand. and i get the feeling a lot of players have a dominant jackhammer hand, and it seems like its usually the right hand. or might be my imagination. maybe i just played a lot of zaghurim files and he definitely seemed kind of right-hand dominant, if you look at jai envie de plaiser x2 and st. scarhand Last edited by sunn0glasses; 09-14-2016 at 09:45 PM.. |

Re: JACKHAMMER SADNESS
Back in high school I knew my right hand was way better at jack hammers so I would practice left hand jacks away from the comp on my lap. Pretty nerdy, but hey both hands are pretty damn even now (right hand still a little dominant when things get really fast)
