How many of you guys who have been around for longer than 20 years still are around

Yeah, what a benchmark lol. That was a very sad time and moment in my life as I used to check and refresh the page every day as I was homeschooled and profile chat meant a lot to me. I had such a great group of friends before the purge, then unfortunately lost contact with the majority of them due to everyone moving on but FFR was my childhood. I'm forever thankful for what it's done for me.

The site's death almost really fucked me over IRL

The year was 2010 and I was crossing the border into the USA from Canada to go to a meetup. FictionJunction, Alain and I were all crossing together in Fiction's car... we got pulled into secondary inspection, car got searched, the works. We had already paid for the hotel and everything so we would have been out a bunch of money if we got denied

They asked us how we knew each other, what was the meetup for and what website we met on. We told them "FlashFlashRevolution", watched them type it into Google and look it up and find nothing. They sent us to sit down for 30-40 minutes while they "investigated". Luckily they let us through

We realized after we probably should have chosen a website that was actually online at the time...
