That kind of disservice is precisely why I stepped down; I'm simply not capable of managing it anymore. Same with the Events team -- once the tournament is over, both GM/EM will be stripped from me and I'll just be a normal moderator. I'll still judge too, but it'll be in light spurts. Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 [Regular batch: OPEN]
Silvuh and I updated the first post with the dates of the most recent emails we found with queued file fixes. Any song not bolded with a color means there has been no changes submitted since submission in the batch.
Later tonight I'm going to send PMs to the stepartists with queued files to verify if the version specified by the email with the date specified is the most recent updated version. |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 [Regular batch: OPEN]
I sent emails out to all the steppers that currently have files in queue, asking about the versions noted in the first post of this thread. I've received a response from gameboy42690.

Are we supposed to say what we're sending in? If so, I'm sending in AJ's song Sentence.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 [Regular batch: OPEN]
You need to submit your file to regularffrsubmissions@gmail.com as an attachment (no external links). The first post in this thread shows what files have been submitted to the current batch period.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 [Regular batch: OPEN]
Yeah, I've already sent it in. I just saw other people saying what they were sending in so I didn't know if I had to do the same.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 [Regular batch: OPEN]
Doesn't matter, you can say what you're sending or not say it. Some people are very excited to tell others what they're submitting. Others want to keep it a surprise.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 [Regular batch: OPEN]
It's your choice whether you want to say.
I tend to support people mentioning what they're stepping, because it prevents multiple people from unknowingly working on the same song. Better distribution of resources and all that. I should be careful to note that of multiple people intentionally want to work on the same song, out of a sense of competition or any other reason, that's their choice and not intrinsically wrong. But it's always better that the information is there so that the choice is informed.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 [Regular batch: OPEN]
I might end up sending a collab or something to a batch and wait for a year or so to see if you guys like it or not, lmao.
It's being ironed out at them moment so hoping it'll be sent this month. It's Nekuro no Makkuro Kuro Majutsu I uploaded a rough draft version of it on the video database, dohoho. |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 [Regular batch: OPEN]
With class being over and me having an extended break (yay for paid time off on Thursday and Friday, plus the weekend!), I'll probably send in at least one other file.
Part of me actually wants to finish working on a song that I was working on, which was an orchestral version/medley of the Voyage 1969 and 1970 themes from Touhou 8: Imperishable Night, and then chart it when it's finished. I haven't had the chance to work on music composition in a while, and I think it'll be a good time since I have ideas on how to make it substantially different than ZUN's version. Last edited by TC_Halogen; 11-26-2014 at 12:29 PM.. Reason: melody != medley |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 [Regular batch: OPEN]
That moment when you play your file after sending it in and realizing an 8th is actually supposed to be a 16th
*facepalms* And I would really like to hear that, AJ! I liked Sentence, so it's cool you're going with that style again. Not to mention Voyage 1969 is a great song.
