Re: Flash 11 Officially Released!
Tested this and here are my conclusions:
Windows 7 with FF 7 - no lag spikes as expected, smoother gameplay, just overall no lag on the browser. Windows 7 with GC - Same as above with no complaints so far Windows 7 with IE9 - Some lag spikes, slightly smoother game play, lags terribly on song with more than 20 TPS. In my opinion, do not use internet explorer for this. |

Re: Flash 11 Officially Released!
No improvements here.
My computer sucks for FFR usage no matter what, as I think the problem lies elsewhere other than the medium of play, so my opinion doesn't really matter.

Re: Flash 11 Officially Released!
Tested out standalone 11; ended up being choppier and a bit laggier than standalone 9 for me. Too bad. I'll stick to Flash 9.

Re: Flash 11 Officially Released!
standalone 11 crashed on the very first play here, just going to stick to with SA9 since that has always worked perfectly fine for me.

Re: Flash 11 Officially Released!
Vista standalone w/ Flash 11 = constant lag in game.
Vista standalone w/ Flash 9 = flawless, seamless gameplay. |

Re: Flash 11 Officially Released!
Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit, quadcore processor, ATI Radeon HD3650 Video Card.
Flash 11 is the most unstable Flash player I have ever run. I'm drunk as hell right now but was able to pull off 7 clean on Doomsday on Flash 10, I just downloaded and tried out Flash 11 and here are the results: The first time I loaded up the song I noticed *considerable* lag, and restarted about 50 notes in. After the restart the song played smooth as glass up until I got my first good. The song remained at an almost unreadable FPS until right near the end. I'm sure you'll notice I stop derping retarded goods shortly before the song ends, because it resumed running smooth as glass. But then literally *right* before the song actually ended the FPS went to shit again. You can see that because I was AAA'ing the ending right up until the FPS went to shit, and the patterns are the same type of pattern. End result, I feel I'm going to love Flash 11 when it's out of RC state, because those few glimpses of smooth FPS were just amazing. However, while it's still in RC, it's virtually unplayable due to the enormous drop in FPS for 90% of the song. edit: just watched my replay after installing Flash 11 for Firefox. Amazing FPS. Extremely smooth replay, smoothest FPS in a replay I've ever seen.

Re: Flash 11 Officially Released!
It's not in RC. You're problem is Vista.

Re: Flash 11 Officially Released!
Derp, yeah, I just read through the entire thread and saw this.
Quote:
fml... I wish it would consistently run smoothly. It runs amazingly when the FPS isn't fucced to shit. ps, also I never run FFR in browser. That was only a standalone test. If it ran as smoothly as the replays do in browser, and I could be bothered to zoom in on the browser every time I played I would probably ditch the standalone and run FFR in Firefox. Seriously, replays are smooth as hell.

Re: Flash 11 Officially Released!
On my Windows 7 64bit PC (Firefox & Chrome), the smoothness is around between Flash 9 and 10, I say.
ps Windows XP + Flash 9 was perfect. |

W7. 32-bit dualcore shit gfx card and 2gb ram
F11 standalone ran amazingly well so much so that I made it my main flash player. Chrome automatically updates flash on its own so I've probably been running f11 without knowing it
