Making a list of films I'd like to collect. Please help?

I'm creating a list of films I would like to get a hold of. With your help guys I'm sure this list will rock.

Thing is the films I am looking for have a certain criteria. This is why I need your help. I don't exactly know the criteria myself. The best I can do is say to you guys that what I am after would maybe fall under the Fantasy or Science Fiction of film. Here are a few films that fall under this criteria of mine and hopefully you'll get the certain theme I am asking for.

The Labyrinth.
Dark Crystal.
Never Ending Story.

Flight of the Navigator.
Short Circuit.
The Goonies.
D.A.R.Y.L.
Batteries not Included.

As you can see the films are kinda old. Does anyone see what I'm looking for? I've separated the first three from the rest as I believe they fall under "Fantasy" maybe? While the rest are Science Fiction? Star Wars goes without saying.

Now there are a few more resent film I know of like Pirates of the Caribbean, Big Fish and Narnia etc. Those films are welcome if you feel it should really be mentioned but try and stay with the theme of films in the above list. I'll make a separate list of films that are more resent.

Also, discussion of any of the films is welcome.

Stargate SG-1? Yea, I did enjoy the show. That would fit into a more resent science fiction series right? Doesn't fit well into the list but still interests me.

stargate = a movie, of which stargate sg-1 and atlantis were based off of.

i like nick's list...

perhaps lord of the rings? princess bride? stardust... matrix trilogy? blade runner... invasion of the body snatchers. planet of the apes.... E.T. Terminator trilogy...

Not enough cartoons on that list.

Flight of the Dragons - might be harder to find but worth it if you can get it. Science vs. Fantasy ftw
The Last Unicorn - easy to find and awesome.
Secret of NIMH - I love this movie.
The Hobbit - no explanation needed
LOTR Cartoons - weird but still cool to watch and see a different interpretation.

You know there's a second Batteries Not Included? I remember seeing it but can't remember how good it was. You and I have different tastes in movies though. The only movies I buy are the ones I really like and the only ones I can see falling under your list are:

Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within
Minority Report
The Matrix
Pitch Black (Though it's more horror.)

Though you probably know all them. The ones that don't fall on your list that I label as wonderful:

That's my entire movie collection as of now. I only buy movies I really like and I don't like many movies enough to see them twice. 300 is currently missing from my list as is my childhood favorite movie The Wizard.

PS: Spirits Within is better if you don't look at it as related to Final Fantasy.
