I was so scared yesterday since one of my close friends went to Norway to visit family, I was happy to actually get a response at the end of the day.

People in less developed countries die violent deaths everyday and nobody gives a shit or even hears about them. This kinda stuff is gonna start happening more often in the developed world...i can't wait!

Also don't you guys just love the word terrorist? It's basically my favorite word of all time.

What the hell is this cynical nonsense? When your teenage child dies in a car accident I'll be the first person to remind you that more children in Africa are starving every day and that you should stop pissing about it.

ya ok thats nice and all but my teenage child didnt die and neither did yrs

even if u did kno sum1 that died in this incident, would u go posting 2 ffr about it? iz it normal protocol 2 mourn losses w/ yr internet gaming community? negative.

lets face it, there's only 1 reason 2 post in this thread, and that's 2 say "gah the world sux" and +1 postcount, so dont evn pretend like u care just cuz yr PoStIn iN FfR tHrEaD.

also, about half the posts in this thread seem more concerned w/ the punishment of this terrorist than the well-being of the familiez and other involved parties. interpret this data how u wish.

Common protocol when you hear about things like this is to talk about it. Read it on Google News, talk about it in the forums you frequent. You say there's really one reason to post in this thread, but you've certainly created another: bash everyone who attempts to convey a human reaction on the internet. Get off your high horse; no one's saying this is more tragic or worse than hunger and death in Somalia - they're talking about it because it freaking happened.

But whatever. This is a gaming community, like you said. Troll is troll.

I can't get over he can only get 21 years in prison for this, he took (I think) 96 lives. So wrong.

I hope everyone in Norway can slowly start to get over this, what a terrible, terrible thing to happen.

Protip: Aldentron is actually a troll

This is tragic. For the people bitching about worse stuff happening, that's tragic too and it's sad that stuff doesn't get a lot more attention then it does, but it doesn't make this situation any less tragic.

I don't know Nordic law, but I typically even the most mild countries have exceptions for massive crimes against the state like this. I read he faced life but hey, the internet is sometimes wrong.

After I found out a old classmate and friend I grew up with were at the scene of the massacre and lost many of his friends (he survived) this got far more personal.

He originally was given 1 years but the charges might be changed to attack on the humanity instead of terror, that will be 30 years, but still no lifetime x_x

He could be locked up indefinetly if the officials suspect that he is a threat to society after his 21-year term ends.
