I cannot get this token no matter how much I've tried. I personally think it's one of the hardest tokens to do, but not because of v1. I actually don't get why everyone complains about v1 being the hard part of getting this token. I got 3 goods in v1 on my 5th try, but I absolutely cannot do v2 at all. I no joke restarted that song roughly 600 times and the best I could do was 30 goods and then I screwed up by letting it save my crappy score. I cannot do those hypercharted right-up-down arrow parts at the beginning or middle of the song, even if I play muted and by sight and muscle memory. The placement and spacing of the notes is completely unnatural and questionable at best, and even if I do those I still have the up-right arrow streams (my weakest two arrows to stream with, unless I shift my left index finger to do the up arrow) and then the mess of red arrows near the end. v2 is just complete hell to SDG and I don't even know why I get goods 90% of the time and perfects 10% of the time when I'm playing those dumb parts the same every time. I literally got past half of the song with no goods at all and then got more than 10 goods at that part in the middle where it does those right-up-down arrow things.

Definitely not one of the hardest tokens. It requires minimal accuracy on a couple of lower level songs. It's an insult to call this token one of the most difficult when things exist like Metro, grind2 v2, Disconnected Hardkore, Nanairopanda v2, and I'm not even gonna mention otaku speedvibes, scarhands, or the car select chain.

I had trouble with this guy as well. It was my second to last token I got in the first 100 tokens. (still don't have disc hardkore)

Just keep at it and practice Rat V2 in your spare time. If you can't get under 10 goods consistantly just playing the song normally there's no reason to put yourself through the nerves and frustration of the two Rats combined.

Sonata token is definitely a pain in the ass to get, and was one of the tougher tokens for myself.

I had massive troubles with this token myself being someone who is more of an audible player rather than a visual player (that is - I'm very badly affected by poor offsets), because of how offsync the notes are. The patterning itself is likely not your issue; it just takes some time to get the hang of how fast the streams/flams are and where they are relatively timed.

Oh, I remember having issues for different reasons; scores had to be clean sdgs and I kept getting runs like 3-0-0-1 and the boo made the token not unlock lol. I wonder if that still applies today.

You cant expect to unlock all the tokens at once. If it is too hard for you move on, get better and come back to it. I still dont have car select, metro and scarhand. Its not really that hard of an unlock once you get better, if you are saying its one of the hardest then you probably shouldnt be trying to get it just yet.

Edit: About v1 being harder, no way in hell. Ive aaad v1 a couple times and still dont have v2 aaad lmao

I remember having this same problem on v2. Just pay very close attention to the timing in the parts you're having trouble hitting accurately - practice in isolation if you use R3.

Haha, I don't know why people are giving you shit about this. I also had a very hard time unlocking this back when I could complete the whole the five chain. I recommend doing what zephei said and use r3 to isolate the patterns that are giving you the most trouble.

The difference between the files actually has to do with how you're reading the chart/attacking the chart. When you play the v1 without offset changes, you're forced to guess the rhythms because they are arbitrarily placed. Physically, the chart is easier -- but the chart might be harder for some people because there's no easily definable rhythm. The v2 is substantially harder on a physical level, but considerably easier to score on because there is no arbitration on what you hit -- the chart follows the music relatively well.

Players who are good visual readers will likely breeze through v1, while players who rely a bit more on auditory cues will likely breeze through v2 (assuming that they have enough skill to physically do those files in the first place).

Thanks guys. This actually helped provide some insight on my situation here. I think I'll just leave this token for now and come back to it when I'm ready for v2, as I'm very much a visual player, and although the blue notes can be confusing on some songs, it's not a problem for me on RAT v1 in particular, but the spacing of the notes in v2 really throws me off and it definitely does feel physically more challenging.
