Oh. You get the gold for being inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and platinum for doing the endless setlist. It can be completed on hard or expert, the reward is the same. But it has to be on Band World Tour.

I've briefly played the game, resulting in a 4 star of Tom Sawyer Expert Drums and 4 star of Green Grass and High Tides Expert guitar.
Forget singing though. |

Dore has it right. The symbol changes are for beating Band World Tour on the different difficulties. When you get inducted into the Hall of Fame, you get an achievement (on the 360) and a clear instrument. (At least you do on Guitar/Bass.) I haven't been able to rally the same friend who went through it on Expert to take on the 50+ song setlist in one sitting. |

No. Because I have the gold record, got inducted to the hall of fame on Hard, and can now go for platinum. On Hard.
But I do have the PS3 version.

Re: RockBand. More Awesome.
its kinda easier than GH3 and you can use the GH3 controller on it,but you cant use RB on GH3 :/ umm for drums keep your foot down on the pedal guitar umm you can hit the solo area without picking when your playing the solo(blue background) and singing you don't have to sing the exact voice as the singer just same pitch

I'm so ****ing pissed right now I was 6 songs through a set of 7, full 30/30 stars on expert when my xbox eats my disc. Now I can't play and I just lost everything that I had been working on. ****. And, I can't play anything else until I get this fixed. I'm not happy.

Re: RockBand. More Awesome.
Drums are hard, start on easy, don't try to do medium unless you actually play the drums or something. I mean, I could passably do medium on GHII the first time I played it on a demo in Best Buy, but trying to do drums on medium in Rock Band just killed me.
Guitar parts are easier than in Guitar Hero. Singing is wonky, it's not hard, it will just take some time to get used to. On another note, I liked GHII more than GHIII, so I had higher expectations for Harmonix/MTV with Rock Band. I also liked Harmonix more because Freezepop (a band) is composed of Harmonix members, which is kind of cool. They've pretty much reached my expectations, but I keep hearing all this crap about instruments breaking. Thankfully, mine haven't so far at all - I'm pretty lucky in this regard, never had the red ring of death on my XBox 360 and didn't have a broken whammy bar in the GHII X-Plorer controller - but that would be my only complaint for this game. Harmonix should just reunite with RedOctane again. |

Re: RockBand. More Awesome.
for the microphone when it tells you to hit it to hit percussion notes, just hit the A button on the controller, i think that hitting the percussion notes is what messed up my microphone. It does random pitch changes every so often and messes me up. Just a heads up.

Jellygod, when you sing do you use a breathy voice or add embellishment to your voice. I find that when I really sing I miss stuff because it doesn't register the embellishments very well or goes haywire if I'm screaming.

Re: RockBand. More Awesome.
I tried hard/hard drums/vocals today, I did alright but I knew every song I did. I probably won't be able to do it without knowing the song beforehand.

Re: RockBand. More Awesome.
Played online for a bit. Fun as always with random other players. Once with drums (expert) and the rest with lead guitar (expert). Only once this guy really crapped out and thought he could sing GGaHT expert vocals on his first try, so my band mates and I saved him a couple of times.
Other than that it was fun.

Re: RockBand. More Awesome.
Hrm. I got Rock Band sometime last monday, and I'm going from Medium - Hard on the drums, basically leaning to Hard. Never played drums before though. But my mom did play the drums in highschool.
But I can't get past probably about the 12th song going down Solo. But I haven't played in awhile. Any tips on keeping the same beat for like, a long time? I think that's my problem. And double foot pedals. Gets annoying sometimes. |
