If that wasn't on autoplay that would've been epic. O.O

Would actually be a useful and fun way to teach piano/keyboard if it actually had the full set of keys.
Although probably too expensive to get into for the average player of rhythm games on the computer. I know I certainly don't own a midi keyboard, do you?

How do I know if my keyboard is MIDI quick! I found a simulator I might be able to play this.

I've played Keyboardmania at the arcades once before, and trust me, you won't learn piano that way haha.

Re: This is definitively my new way of learning the piano
This looks soooo cool. I'm going to look for this, starting now.
What I'd say is that it'd teach you half of what you need to play piano. This would give you finger dexterity and flexibility. The other half of what you're missing to learn how to play piano is the ability to ready music. It's sorta like how FFR and DDR is related to me. I played FFR to get my recognition of arrows down and get used to different beats (as compared to the ability to read). Then once I was comfortable, I went to the arcade and trained my feet to do what I read (as compared to dexterity). *edit* all the ones I can find are formatted for Japanese PS2's only...

Re: This is definitively my new way of learning the piano
I can actually see someone getting good at this, if they used the colored grid as a reference point.
I'm getting a MIDI keyboard soon, I might try this |

Re: This is definitively my new way of learning the piano
I got an awesome midi keyboard, so I am all good. I might try to find a PC download of this just for fun.... I have seen this before though, nothing new to me.
To be honest once I get good enough at playing my piano, drums, viola, and guitar I really want to learn to play the marimba, it seems like so much fun. |
