Do you have to be a certain level in order to smith things?
I was/am trying to smith a fez of etymology, but it wouldn't let me...
Did they take the item off the game or is it some glitch or something?
Just wondering...

I was wonder the same thing, ckj. How is it possible to get another dictionary without multiple accounts or mall?

It isn't an item anymore. You shouldn't be allowed to make it, because you
need the Dictionary to finish the Baron's quest.

About smithing:

Only a certain muscle class character can smith higher level things, which is probably why you can't smith that fez. When i need something smithed I talk to Tass.

you can't make the FoE anymore... for the reasons stated above. If you want, you can buy one or buy a dictionary... some people still have them in their stores from long ago, although you can no longer put them in your store. I tried.

How do the contests work anyway? I'm guessing you have to be in the irc chat, right? If that's the case I need to download it...pain in the ass.

I might as well try it someday though- sounds worth it, considering it's taken me ages to get my first million through selling hell ramen and other odds and ends.

Not the IRC chat, the in-game chat. You need to prove yourself worthy at the Alter of Literacy before you cn access KoL chat. Then it's very easy to enter the chat and enter the Radio chat.

No you either have to send messages through
kmail or just be in the chat panel that you can
get into after you prove yourself literate. And
you have to be in the radio channel usually.

Ok thanks guys...I was in the chat before and listened to the retards in there and figured it must be a different chatroom. I didnt realize there were subcategories.

type "/c radio" it is MUCH more civilized and less asshattish.

and, I just have it on all day while I'm doing other things... contest comes on, I answer. gives me damn good odds when I'm entering 6-10 a day. Figure statisically I should win about once every three days, but factoring in probability and my amazing abilities/skills (read: smarter than other people)... it has been better odds than 1 per 3 days.

Oh man, where oh where is the mysterious island of mystery, i need to go there, i am guessing it is a 'mystery' but the only thing i have to do at the moment is go and help baron what-ever-his-name-is and so have to go to that island. How do i get it to appear? Any help? Ahhhh. Looked on KoL forums but found nothing and now i am totally stuck and desperart, i am sure it is just something easy i have overlooked...

Did you build a Dinghy dinghy.

You need some dingy planks, and some dinghy plans. I forget where you can acquire those though, sorry.

the mall also has 99% of the stuff you want... except for things that can't be traded, like dingy plans etc.
