I got pulled over today.... Whoops

So I was being an idiot and trying to beat my record from my town to a place 72 km's from here (which was 30mins) I was going 150+ km/h and I failed to see a police officer in front of me until the last minute. I hit my brakes and he flashed his lights, all I could think of was "OH ****!!!!"... So, he pulls me over "blah blah blah you were going 136km/h in a 90 zone, you know that is excessive speeding and you'll lose your license and get your vehicle impounded for a week." I tell the officer that my speedometer is broken because I was only going about 100km/h. He takes my license and registration back to the cruiser and a few minutes later comes back and says: "I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, here is your license, have a great night." I almost shit my pants! He actually let me go.

I graciously shook his hand, and peaced outta there. He followed me for the next 30 clicks, and boy was that ever the most nervewracking drive of my life....

I have learned my lesson about speeding... Phew, too close of a call, would've literally ruined my life.

I hope you realise that you are a ****ing idiot.

At that speed, your reaction and stoppage time would be slow enough that if something random were to happen (car pulling out without warning, something on the road or even an ill-timed sneeze) that you would be dead, as would other cars/people etc involved in such an accident.

That cop should've walked you around to the back of your car and flogged you with his stick for a while.

Edit: and to make matters even more 'mature', you're making light of this and gloating about it. I just hope that if you ever cause an accident that takes another persons life or ruins someones life that you survive, just so you get the fun of living with the guilt. Grow up mate~

I went to a reaction speed test thing after reading that btw, and your reaction speed + PERFECT conditions (environment/light/car, etc) would have to be 0.45 seconds better than IF the car/obstruction that appeared in front of you was coming to a stop from the same speed...
So stationary ANYTHING = nope.avi... aka: dead

Thanks Jae, I was trying to say the same thing but less harshly, but beating around the bush wasn't getting me anywhere. xP

Anyways, the speed limit is there for a reason. Going at that speed isn't just slightly unsafe, it's lethal and deadly as hell. x.x Sure, 5mph above the speed limit is reasonable, but zipping down the road at the speed you were going at is just unjustifiable, especially for that length of time as well, a lot can happen in 30 minutes.
