He would probably pick Rubix's eternal love, so, on the off chance that maybe devonin wins, I don't think that'd be satisfactory.

A sweet keyboard would be a great prize.

Re: What kind of prizes would give you incentive to participate?
Well prizes that would give me incentive to participate would be subscriptions to FFR, depending on wherever someone places it could be for 1 month, 6 months or a year, and well credits. I settle for light prizes on tournaments so not much is needed for me to enter.
I've read some of the suggestions here, some are rather rediculous, some are creative, and some are reasonable. I'd say the subscriptions are the best bet for an incentive to gaining Flash Flash Revolution players to participate however.

Re: What kind of prizes would give you incentive to participate?
The thing that confuses me though is that even when I offered a Cobalt Flux as a prize, there was very little participation

Re: What kind of prizes would give you incentive to participate?
My guess would be that people are skeptical giving away their address or information to someone online.

Re: What kind of prizes would give you incentive to participate?
Yeah, I remember that.
Well, the only thing I can say is that not a lot of people care for pad on FFR, considering this is a keyboard based game. As always, subscriptions and merchandise always seem to please people, and with the new rules, they will be delivered so no one has to worry about not receiving their prizes. *Note Colt's unofficial tournament for such catastrophe. |

If there isn't time-based challenges on this one, I will give everything I have, so you better sit tight Tass. Challenges starting during the night weren't possible for me and it destroyed any chance I had. So it would be really appreciated not to do put them.
Back to the subject. Personally, I would like so much to get that Cobalt Flux. There could be also costless things like custom banners or other free things like that. |

Also, it could have been just the overall style of the tournament itself. I, for one, enjoy something "outside of the box" when it comes to tournament ideas. Others, not so much. They would rather have it be all FFR related, all the time. The list of possible reasons is quite a long one, really. As for prizes, your best bet would be either Paypal'd cash, or subbies. Or if you'd rather have something physically tangible, perhaps make a disclaimer that all those who participate in the tourney have the possibility of winning, and therefore should have no problems (or have a parent or guardians permission) about giving out their address. Sorry for the wall o' text.

Re: What kind of prizes would give you incentive to participate?
Hmm, Custom Banners for profiles could be one of the smaller prizes, it's simple but it's also unique. I think this could be a possible prize.

Re: What kind of prizes would give you incentive to participate?
If I was going to join a tournament, I would not want to win a banner.
That is an awful prize unless it's a consolation prize for everyone who enters the tournament. |

Re: What kind of prizes would give you incentive to participate?
Well I think what I will do is allow a list of possible prizes for people, where they can either choose things like subs/cash/keyboards/whatever/etc, and the lower your rank is, the smaller the list becomes
emerald: Yeah there won't be any time-sensitive things this time around. There are three main disadvantages to having time-based rounds: 1. Sometimes time-based rounds are hard to show up for. Not everyone has the same schedule. 2. Even if you're on-time, your computer/connection may be slower, and therefore you may lose to someone who simply had a better system 3. Once you fall behind as a result of losing out on speed points, it's easy to get discouraged and quit Therefore I've decided to make it so it is a function of skill. Everything will be open at all times. The only thing that makes it harder to join late is simply the fact that there would be a ton to do to catch up.
