Slowdowns In Vista?
Hi guys, first of all, I'd like to congratulate Synth on getting the site back up. Now second, I recently have purchashed a new computer the specs are 2.8ghz AMD phenomIIX4, 8GB DDR3 Ram and an ATI Radeon X1600pro and yet I see major slowdowns in game. Why could this be? I used to play on a computer with a 1ghz celeron and 1GB DDR ram and seen better frame rates . I don't know whats going on but this kinda upsets me as i really want to play and raise my rank again .

What OS are you using? More importantly what browser are you using?

Yeah, I was about to link him to that thread. You might have to download an updated version of FF though, Halted. I'm not sure on how GC/ Vista OS operates with gamebooster.

Re: Slowdowns In Vista?
Chrome will work equally as good with gamebooster as firefox. So if you are preferenced to chrome by all means use it. But if you still experience lag with chrome after my method, try firefox and see if their is a difference.

Re: Slowdowns In Vista?
Too bad I am dissappoint... The stupid program does not help at all... anyway I dont know why but this is the only Flash game that lags on my comp and I think its kinda retarded as I can play COD 4 on mid-high settings and yet a simple game like FFR lags worse than anything else. Anyway I guess I'll try switching browsers for now even though the temp fan re-post site runs fine with no lag at all (those of you who know what I'm talking about will understand when I say LD). This kinda scares me as this IS the real site and it won't run very well at all. Oh, did I mention I've started to notice the lag on pretty much any computer I play on anyway? Maybe it has something to do with how the site kinda crashed and burned (Litterally). But, I don't know as I'm not the one in charge of the servers.
EDIT:: Well, I have tested both Firefox and IE instead of using google chrome and, It proved to be quite useless as it did not help the lag AT ALL. Anyway I guess I'm stuck with stepmania or Thirdstyle for the time being until this whole mess is sorted out. Last edited by Halted; 11-26-2010 at 10:01 AM.. Reason: Tested Different Browsers... |

Re: Slowdowns In Vista?
Just a quick update on my situation, I have gotten some of the lag to stop by simply turning off the windows aero theme but, its still bad enough to the point where I can't play, can someone please give me a valid idea as that gamebooster crap is exactly that, crap...
