Re: Good PS1/2 RPGs?
New stuff: budget decreased to $20. This almost definitely rules out VG and Xenogears (and almost all previous suggestions). I'll probably go with Cross since it's cheap on Half.com.
The problems with FF Chronicles and Anthology are loading times and inferior audio quality. Still open to cheap suggestions. |

Re: Good PS1/2 RPGs?
Try Breath of Fire, FF9, Legend of Mana, Final Fantasy Origins (I+II), Dragoon is a great one too..
Other than that, most of those other great ones are way too expensive if 20 bucks is the limit, you might as well wait until you get another 20 seriously :S

Re: Good PS1/2 RPGs?
Okay, see if you can get your hands on The Legend of Dragoon - it was an awesome game, and I barely beat the final boss by the seat of my pants. (Haschel and Dart were dead, and Albert was alive with 1500 HP and was confused, lmao.)
A couple other people brought it up, and it's ancient at this point, so it should fit in your budget. |

100% Go you. I never played Wild Arms because everytime I looked for it; it was rented out (Back then)... or there was always a really good game that came out when it was in stock and I would get that game instead. Xenogears: From what I saw and heard (Everyones played this damn game but me..).. Its awesome. Star Ocean: Fking amazing game. This game ties in a bunch possible attainable characters and storyline branches... as well as different outcomes and endings. The game has a bad ass fighting system as well and the spells are bad ass on top of that. Like the first one (For SNES), there are a bunch of skills you can learn and use... I wouldnt be supprised if Ragnarok developers had this game on a pedastol while developing it, because Ragnarok reminds me of this game. Brave Fencer Musashi: Badass game although its more action adventure than RPG... but still has that RPG feel to it. |
