I find the castlevania stuff boring tbh because I'm not very interested in the game so I'm not gonna really comment on it.

On a side note: I think you're photography work leaves much to be desired.

Edit: In words you should understand: I think it's bad.

I think your grammar leaves much to be desired.

@OP: Also I enjoy your pixel work, although you should work on creating better effects with photoshop.

Edit: Also I'm aware my grammar isn't very good, my spelling would be worse were it not for spell check.

Well to be 100% sure of some of these I'd need to see the originals but here's what I'm thinking.

All these pictures are more than likely blurry as that would explain why you'd use that god awful effect on most of them not to mention the fact I can see it blatantly on this picture: http://srlanbelmont.deviantart.com/g...80825#/d2lxrg1. The lighting is ****ing horrible on most of these based on all the white in the shots. Subject placement is equally as bed as they all look like Myspace shots save for http://srlanbelmont.deviantart.com/a...F26580825&qo=4. But either way their bodies are being really stupidly cut off and it's hard to tell the goal behind the picture.

And this is completely neglecting the nude picture in that folder by the way.

Portraits of people are supposed to show either just the person (school pictures and stuff) or something about them whether it be physically, emotionally or anything else really, and I see nothing in these shots as they're all really boring. It looks like this girl held a camera up just to take her own picture because she doesn't have a tripod and is unaware of the self shoot timer on the camera. I will say there's an exception here http://srlanbelmont.deviantart.com/g...80825#/d2lxr42 this one I could consider good if I saw the original.

I do however need to complement the mirror effect on http://srlanbelmont.deviantart.com/g...80825#/d2lxrg1 to make her face appear twice. That's pretty neat. If he can pull that off I don't get why the other ones are so bad.

And this is assuming none of these are stolen works which apparently he's guilty of as revealed by this thread: http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...r.+Lan+Belmont

Edit: I don't get how you could yourself an artist of any kind, wether it be musician, photographer or graphics artist. All you do is steal other's people work, make crappy edits of them and post them as your own.
Even though you posted the original link on your picture there, it's still just a cheap one click photoshop effect you used on it and posted as your own version. What's the artistic value in this?

Edit2: Oh wow, none of these pictures are taken by you. They're all "edits".
None of this artwork is made/drawn by you either. They're all screenshots with one click photoshop effects.

Just type "castlevania fan artwork" in google picture search and compare the results with yours.

This is no artwork you've done there. It's mostly just a simple screen taken off the game (or even someone else's work) edited with some effects.

Next time, use models that cannot be traced via reverse image search. It'd be better to use your own artwork as well.

While I do agree with some of the things said here, I do NOT agree with how it was said. We all had to start somewhere (although if Belmont has been doing this since 2008...well...maybe photoshop just isn't your thing).

If you're into photo-editing though, you might want to plow through some of these good tutorials on photo edits and retouching.

http://vandelaydesign.com/blog/desig...ing-tutorials/

It can only help you, and these are the types of edits we would want to see here in the art forum.

And no, those are not screenshots.
Those are sprites (Characters & Backgrounds) merged.

While I wouldn't be as harsh as I was right now if this was his first "art" thread, he was already found stealing songs, putting an off-sync beat over it and claiming it has his remix. And the fact that he's been going at it since 2008 doesn't help.
I do not respect this guy anymore.

What bothers me the most is that he takes credit for stuff he "edited" with the click of a button. I can hardly consider this artwork at all. It's just theft.
If anything, he has set the bar really high for himself, since I have to be genuinely impressed to consider him respectable again.

I suppose I should apologize for my way of saying it in my previous post.
