Warming up
What do you guys do to warm up for FFR? Do you do anything special or simply go straight to smashing your keys?
I wonder, because I do; before playing FFR, I put my hands over the fire for a minute and then I'm good to go! (yes, there is a fire in my house... it's winter and it still is the best way to get some heat)

Re: Warming up
I play a couple FGO's.
I played RAIN YMCK as a warm up right before I got my SDG on holy orders lol.

Re: Warming up
Typically I'll play some hard songs to loosen up. But if my hands are totally ice I might run hot or warm water over them for a few minutes.

Re: Warming up
I like to warm-up to something with high BPM, with little-to-no empty spots in between. So, generally songs like FotBB, Molto Vivace, GGC. :3
Anything harder would just cause my CTS to get to extreme pain before I even really start, which is unfortunate. x.x |

Re: Warming up
Sometimes if my hands are cold I run them under hot water for a minute. When I start playing FFR though, I don't play warm-up songs, I just jump directly into what I want to play.

Re: Warming up
I play either a file I can't stand, get irritated and go higher ( Like a annoying 9 file to a FMO or FGO ). Either that, or I just play a higher song than what I should play, ( Start off at 11 or 12, which increases my chance to AAA a 9 or 10 )

Re: Warming up
it all depends on how much I've been moving my fingers before I start playing
I keep it pretty cold in my room (like, less than 65F if I can get it that low), so if I haven't been doing anything on the computer, I'll warm up with 10s and 11s if I come from doing something else on the computer (playing rift or katawa shoujo, for example), all I have to do is play something like freedom dive or rain and I'm warmed up

Re: Warming up
I usually just go straight into smashing keys. But if I do ever warm up 'properly', I play level 10's.

Re: Warming up
when it's cold in the house I run my hands under hot water and between games I'll blow hot air out my mouth on my hands and rub them together. I start off with hard songs and then go for aaa's

Re: Warming up
I casually play some random songs on FFR to prepare myself for rates / dumps on SM and later come back to FFR in an hour or so to tackle harder stuff. I, too run my hands under hot water if the weather's cold.

Re: Warming up
If I'm not playing for scores, I won't bother warming up and I'll just play whatever.
Otherwise, I'll wash my hands under warm water and then play Miraiya, Gunk Tar, and Metro. In that order. Every session~ |
