Re: TWC Rules, Policies, Etc.
i dont understand how its selfish to want to get a game started and this is basically our only option
if you want to rather not play than merge then your sense of pride needs to be re-prioritized |

because if we have two twg's it requires a lot more players more players=more inactive people, simple as that. but if we merge them, we don't need as many players, and people will not be inactive. we can just get the active people and have no need for people who MIGHT be active or MIGHT play to join. this is in no way against the newbies, they can still join, (i think) they just have to be active.

Re: TWC Rules, Policies, Etc.
Following up on robertsona's comment:
If there are any newbies that are worth two ****s, they'll be persistent enough to join games and stay active on their own. Same goes for veterans. However, the merge is necessary because there aren't enough of these people to fill two games and keep them active. Metaphorically, this is simply decreasing the number and size of the fish tanks because there aren't enough fish to fill the two tanks. Sure, we could always add water, but then you have all water and no fish; all inactive spot-fillers and no real TWG players. We can always allow new fish to enter the tank (newbies joining), and if there happens to be too many fish at some point, we make the tank larger or get a new tank. I personally see no problem with this, so long as we let newbies play in the merged games.

Re: TWC Rules, Policies, Etc.
Honestly, I can see where Lito is coming from. The way player sign-ups usually go, the vets jump straight in and take up the spots and newer players are generally a bit too timid to get in. Over time, we might get one or two new people to join, but we're mostly stuck playing with the same people over and over again.
That being said, when the player signups are open for as long as they were this time and neither game is filled, something needs to be done. Merging seemed like the simplest solution, if you ask me. |

I've been busting my ass getting new players so maybe we won't have to merge the games after all.

This message is hidden because rzr is on your ignore list.
follow me To Gamer: make fish tanks smaller. Why insist on having a MASSIVE HUGE game that's going to be a 15 player cap on both games if we honestly don't have that many people. A concise 7 player game would be more fun than a larger game imo, + you'll have the BENEFIT OF HAVING NEW PLAYERS REGARDLESS IF THEY'RE IDIOTS OR NOT. Also how was Marine Corps bmt? Did you like, work out before camp? I'm considering joining the Air Force (lol) in aboot 6 months, I meet all reqs and scored 70 on the ASVAB, so I'm set for it.

Re: TWC Rules, Policies, Etc.
Yeah I think we need to be looking for more ways to get the people already involved in TWG more interested in the game, not brand new people. This could mean coming up with new game concepts (I have a few). And it seems to me that making games more complicating doesn't make them any more enjoyable.
ALSO. The TWC needs to be A LOT more strict about inactivity and start imposing restrictions on those who remain inactive game after game. |

Yea, ok, considering that 3/7 people on TWC even bother to check this thread I doubt they could vote/impose anything.

Once I get my **** done i'll start kicking some butts. Lito has a point. People have done 7 and 8 players games with no problem. Why not here?

Re: TWC Rules, Policies, Etc.
Smaller games are fine with me, but I think 8-10 players would be better. 7 seems a little too small; at that point, you can only really have one or two wolves and maybe one blue like the psychic. If the games are too small, then the newbies don't get exposed to the various roles and situations that the larger games present, and then they lack experience upon entering some 16 player game later on.
Also, pnt has agreed to back me on suggestions for game bans once people hit the 2-phantom mark. 5 people in my game are at 1 phantom already, and I'm quite fed up with inactivity. I would like the other members of TWC to also vote the people I suggest for game bans. I will give the five inactives an activity PM just so that they see that I'm serious (seeing as they probably don't check the thread).

Re: TWC Rules, Policies, Etc.
Mak is on AIM a lot; I can get to him if need be.
BDN kinda disappeared; still is on enough. Manti fell off the face of the earth; forget it. pnt is active. Trav died or something lol idk Thunder same as trav Roundbox exists, but I don't think he's been active in TWG lately. So yeah, that's kinda really 3. Perhaps we should nominate a new member or something? Or at least replace inactive ones? I don't know if anybody really knows TWG well enough and cares about it/is active enough that isn't in TWC already, but some of the older members need to come back.

Re: TWC Rules, Policies, Etc.
Well most of the old members either don't come on the site at all anymore or they are in FFYa, and FFYa has another TWG going on so a lot of the old members who are TWG vets are probably there.
