RE: Super Bowl XL
The only reason I'm even caring in the slightest about this game is because it'll be going on less than 20 minutes from my house. The up coming week is going to be nuts for my city (Windsor) and well... I'm hoping it'll bring along some much needed publicity for the area.
Other than that, football's gay. I'm predicting Seattle winning 14-6 though.

RE: Super Bowl XL
Steelers beat the Colts, which makes me want to root for the Seahawks (I'm a Colts fan).
However, I think it's going to be a tight game, as everyone's said, both teams defense is strong. My prediction: Seahawks 24 Steelers 17 |

RE: Super Bowl XL
I'm rooting for the Seahawks because they've never been in the Superbowl before.
Also because I like the name.

RE: Super Bowl XL
The Steelers are obviously going to win. The Seahawks are garbage. Ben took the team to the AFC championship game last year and they were beaten by the one team that could beat everyone else, the patriots. This year NFC is garbage and the steelers are most certainley going to take this one.

Jake Plummer isn't quite John Elway.

Nuclear, reading that made me die a little bit inside.
I do think the Steelers will win, but not because of the publicity they get and the teams they beat. QB Matchup- Ben vs Hasselback This is very close, and Hasselback is one of the most efficient quarterbacks in the NFL, but I am going to have to give this one to Ben. He has better recievers in Ward and Randel El then Hasselback has in Jurevicious and Jackson. RB Matchup- Jerome Bettis and Willy Parker vs Shuan Alexander and Mack Strong. Obviously, this one is going to shaun. He is much more versatile, and just a better back than the rest. MVP, it's a given. 2nd best would have to be Willy Parker, he's explosive, big, and has great vision and cuts. Mack strong is the best blocker out of all of them, being a fullback; and Bettis is one of the most overrated players in the NFL. WR Matchup- Ward vs Jurevicious Hands down goes to Ward. Ward is in the list of the top 5 WR's in the NFL, Ben has the arm, and Ward is just an overall better and more experienced player than Joe. Oline Matchup-Pitt vs Sea This is a close one, neither team lets up too many sacks, and both have great running games. I'm going to have to set this one as a tie. Dline matchup-Pitt vs Sea Going to have go with Pittsburgh. A great line that gets penetration and plenty of knockdowns on quarterbacks, similar to what they did to Peyton and company. LB matchup-Pitt Vs Sea Once again, Pittsburgh gets my vote. An aggresive linebackeing core that disguises there blitzes and formations very very well. Porter is a beast. Expect a lot of sacks and hurried passes in this one. Dback Matchup- Polomalu vs Trufant This is going to have to go as a tie. Both are excellent players, and have displayed so in this past season. Polomalu is agressive, and Trufant is a very good cover back. Kickers-Reed vs Josh Brown Kicking at Heinz Field is a tough job, but Brown is a highly consistent kicker who I feel can win it when the game is on the line. Coaching-Cohwer vs Holmgreen Once again, a tie. Longest tenure coach vs the tamer of Favre and qb coach of montana. Holmgreen is an excellent decision maker. Cohwer is a symbol of his team, tough and agressive. So, the game will be decided on turnovers. If Pittsburgh is up by 14 at any time in the game, it is over. |

I am going for the steelers. I live like 5 minutes from their practice field and only about 40 minutes from Heinz field. They're a good team and they have experience in a way. This is the Seahawks first ever superbowl. That is going to put tremendous pressure on them. I think that the Seahawks are going to crack under pressure and the steelers will pwn them.
GO STEELERS!

This is because Jurevicius has just as many years under his belt and already has a Super Bowl ring right
