Re: What would you tip for this order?
Around my house, 20 to 25 percent is the customary tip for pizza delivery. (My brother used to deliver pizzas, so we know what they go through.) Forking over a 20 and saying "keep the change" is about 22% in this case, plus you get to eating the pizza faster and the driver gets to go on his way. Everybody wins.

Re: What would you tip for this order?
I pay 1/6 the price if I'm satisfied, and 1/7 otherwise.

Invite him inside, offer him a beer, tell him tales of old travels, smoke some herp-a-derp, play some x-box, blow his mind with your flashflash skills, and then you will have tipped him with LIFE, which is priceless compared to the meager pocket change which he would have acquired through an ordinary delivery.

Re: What would you tip for this order?
I would use a $20 and not ask for change.
I wish the US would change their customs to the way they do it in Europe. Tips are just included in the bill and the restaurant pays the employees a normal wage. |

Re: What would you tip for this order?
This isn't a full service restaurant though, this is pizza delivery. You tip that high for delivery? Most pizza guys make like an hourly wage plus mileage.

Re: What would you tip for this order?

Re: What would you tip for this order?
Tip based on whatever you ordinarily would have tipped had you made the same order but without coupons.
Or in other words, when you use coupons, though it reduces the cost of the items, do not reduce the amount of your tip. They still did the same work as if you hadn't used coupons and deserve the full tip. |

Re: What would you tip for this order?
What they deserve is a consistent pay for a consistent job. Pizza delivery isn't exactly a "service" that one person can do better than another.

Re: What would you tip for this order?
I know this is delivery, but I usually just go with $1 for every $5 on the ticket, and round the change to either .50 or the next dollar, depending on service.

Re: What would you tip for this order?
Actually, yes it is. It is a service job and someone very well could do a worse job at it than others. You are paying for the service of delivery of your order to your residence in a timely fashion while not messing up the pizzas or otherwise messing up in some manner.
