And for pattern choice it doesn't have to be index friendly but it shouldn't be spread unfriendly unless you need to do it for PR (and we're talking about a repeated snare here so no reason you need to use 23432343) and the PR in Primitivism: In the first section before you get full on to the layering you're doing these left handed trills to guitar (I think) and the PR is just plain wrong. Later when you start doing the jumps that are all 16ths you don't change which jumps your using for the different pitches. Just look at m35, (34)(24)(13)(12) three times in a row and the pitch is descending differently each time. It doesn't have to be perfect but the patterns you choose should change when the music changes. Sunset Dept. ctrl+f

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
I'm happy because 2 of my 3 files were played by Tass... too bad he rejected my files...
I don't understand some things... Csikos Post Quote:
Can I fix it and re-send??... like the judges said... there are some minor problems... Quote:
also... can you tell me the measures with the layering problem please... Greensleeves Quote:
Seriously, when I was stepping this file I thought... let's make something different... the file is not that hard so I can play with the coloring... Hey let's make all the melody in green (then change it to red) and the accompaniment with white arrows (sometimes cyan)... Patashu loved it... dore loved it... Blu said w/e... bmah and you didn't like it... I know it have some sync problems... I already fixed them... as well as some patterns... Quote:

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
it's not a matter of not liking it. it's that i don't allow noteskin tricks like that into the game. the same thing was done with Pretty Green Onions, and i didn't accept it with the green skin.
as for Csiko's Post... you can resubmit, sure. but i am worried about messing with Konami, whether it's an actual concern or not. I understand the difference between banya's song and SHK's... meh. It's something I'll have to think about.

Blu, in Frulingschrawuawersn, you say to listen for jacks in the second half. I know those are there, but do you really want 32nd jacks at that speed?
and should I even bother to try and fix islamey? Last edited by Xandertrax; 08-25-2009 at 01:29 PM.. |

m29-35 feels the most overstepped for me. The left hand's part is just so boring it'd be better to layer the chords the right hand is doing instead of just jumps the entire time. Also it would be nice if it ended on a (14). Well there's one 24th in m23 or so and then later it's just minijacks at 210 bpm we can suck it up those aren't hard. Honestly though it wouldn't be that bad as all JS and those minijacks too.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
Woker, is there any way you can get me that run kirby run song, or should I just grab it off of their myspace?
p.s. bmah, in Welcome to Cyberdrome, I often purposely left out some of the 16ths, and gradually added on the layering with each repeat of the theme. and blu said it was overstepped, while bmah said it was understepped. p.p.s., tass, does worse have ANY chance of getting in-game? p.p.p.s we already have permission for Kr1z... brb stepping remotion. But it's 4:42... prolly needs a cut = ( Tass wans the run elephant run cut, i think. Last edited by Xandertrax; 08-25-2009 at 02:26 PM.. |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
Tass, or whoever can and is willing to do it, could you please update the first post of this thread? I know that there are a lot of songs that have been placed in the game that could be updated along with the newer songs that have been queued in the latest batch(s).
I'm asking because I would like to know what is happening with Skeletor, though I should probably just ask blu, and I was also wondering what other songs were to be coming soon. I realize that most of this information is also in the Batch Notes thread, but having it here too would be nice. (6300) |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
Yeah, I noticed that but couldn't help at noticing the many other things you omitted in places that were not subjected to climax theory, such as m21-36. What you're referring to is probably starting at m61 where you gradually layer more. After playing it again, I'm still going to say that it's underlayered a bit.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
I fixed the underlayering in the places you mentioned.
woker: I just downloaded the album, I forgot they gave out their music. I think I'm going to try stepping that one instead, it's crisper and more varied. |

Schubert - Serenade S. Prokofiev - Toccata Op.11 What's wrong with all his works, they're all mad! P.S: I'm still working on your midi file, Cedo Edit: I made a simfile of this, but maybe someone else thinks this could be an FFR file Sergei Prokofiev - Suggestion Diabolique

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
Like this?
J.S. Bach - Badinerie It's real easy if you just have to quantize someone else's midi and add an instrument
