haha new mashed FMO FC, less than 200 boos though

Kase's chart might be my second 9 AAA, the jump/sixteenths section gets me more goods than the jacks

Oh, and I drop more goods on WC's chart than a synth file ... I'm bad at matching someone else's rubato. I got a blackflag out of about 50 restarts on a 6 =(

All good songs and files though, I enjoyed them all

*sigh* I want to make a v2 version of Wolf By Night that steps the loud organ sound as jumpjacks... but knowing FFR it wouldn't be too well received, so oh well.

From FFR Scores thread:

I love the file :')

You have this really 'symmetrical' stepping style that makes everything so fluid and connected, which I really love

Thanks guys! (: OWA's comment made me extremely proud of the work I put into FFR and made my day a lot better (:

I haven't touched the new songs yet except that Flashbulb song. Good easy file! Like I said in the FFR Scores thread, I'm surprised that Obscene converted nicely, but that ending 1(12) jack is a little upsetting to see

I've had a couple discussions about this with various people. I'm pretty surprised that We Will Fly got rated a 9. I was expecting an 8 at the highest, especially since Glorious Morning was rated an 8.

The only reason I could see it being a 9 is because of the jacks, but they are not that fast. While there are some pretty tricky jumps near the end, I think it's a high 8 rather than a low 9

Warren was pretty fun for a 6; it held my attention because of the constant tempo/swing changes within the subtle melody. Really well done, Carlos.

We Will Fly is also a solid chart, although it plays a lot more like a high-end 8 than a low-end 9. The chart matches the feel of the song, although there are a few arbitrary jumps in the chart that throw me through a loop once in a while, haha. However, it flows nicely, and I love the pseudo-pitch relevancy trick near the center of the song where the 4th notes represent the pitch of the synth (it's done somewhat consistently, too).

Wolf in Night, Human in Dreams is a great chart - the song doesn't leave a lot of room for variation, but woker did a really good distinguishing between the chorus/verses with proper layering, and I love the little back and forth relevancy trick during the 12th note snares and the quarter notes of the background organ (323[1] 323[4] 323[1] 323[4]). The flow of the chart is good, but can be problematic for those who have trouble balancing in and out of polyrhythmic patterns (4th + 6ths, or 8ths/12ths at 1/2 BPM). Note that more than 50% of the notes come in the last 35%/40% of the song - haulin'.

Obscene Amount of Steam was great from a player's perspective - easily my favorite of the bunch. The bursts look so incredibly intimidating, yet, on my first run (can't call it a sightread since I've judged this file) I was able to push all the way to 1350 before getting my first good. The chart itself maintains a solid technical accuracy - when I reviewed this chart, I noted a few things that probably wouldn't have been noticed by most players. I'm not a fan of that jack at the end of the song, but it's a small price to pay for an otherwise great chart. Nicely done, Wilson.

Obscene Amount of Steam was amazing, but it's unfortunate that conversion made a 2 frame minijack into the [12] jump at the end.

Unlucky conversion... that minijack at the end probably wouldn't be as bad on SM.
Chart was fun, some pretty unconventional roll patterns but they flowed nicely so not a problem at all.

Edit- might as well review the others.
Warren was interesting. Not a chart I'd show to beginners because it's pretty technical, but a very fun chart for an intermediate player I'd imagine. Subtle BPM changes, keeps you on your toes.

We will fly I've reviewed that chart like 3-4 times before now so w/e, it's the same lol

Wolf by night was fun, like I said in my heart I really want to have jumpjacks to that organ sound, but the chart as it is was a very fun low VC. The trills with jumps in them flowed nicely, that's not a particularly easy pattern to pull off but it worked well in this case.
