MrRubix's Fscked-Up Tournament of WTF
MrRubix's Fscked-Up Tournament of WTF This isn't just your ordinary tournament. This will be the most wacky, eccentric, and eclectic tournament on FFR you've ever participated in. I'm sure you remember my Omnipwn Tournament that did very well in the realm of Flash games and riddles. This will be nothing like that. Instead I am going to force you all to step outside your comfort zones (within reason) but still keep things relevant to FFR. Whatever I feel like throwing at you, I will throw at you. I may be light, or I may be a maniacal jackass who enjoys watching people suffer. How does it work? Every round, I will submit any number of possible tasks that you can choose from (there may be one, or there may be several). Choose wisely and submit that as your entry for the round. Judgment will depend on the nature of the round. It may be subjective and up to my judgment, or it may be objective and based on a particular metric. Requirements Video-recording device of some kind, and a lack of dignity. Submitting Scores Just submit stuff to the thread. I assume you're smart enough to figure that part out. Post a new post if, for any reason, you need to update. There are no late penalties, but I am not going to tell you how many rounds there will be, and I won't bother looking at anything you submit in the final two rounds if you haven't participated in the prior rounds (although I will announce the final round when we get to it). This is a way to avoid having people submit a bunch of crap last minute while simultaneously not punishing late-entrants. If there are multiple tasks in a round, I will only take the task corresponding to your latest entry. tl;dr submit what you want when you want to the thread, only the latest submission counts, and don't be a douche and wait until the last minute to submit multiple rounds worth of content. The idea is to encourage regular participation but without being a strict jackass about it. Signups/Divisions/Eliminations There are no signups. You just join in whenever you want and start submitting. There are no eliminations. Only people who suck at the tournament. Starting Time First round will go up sometime today whenever I feel like it (and if there seems to be enough interest) -- 6/12/2011. Prizes/Donations Honestly, I have no prizes to offer because my account has negative 8 million credits. I am making this tourney with the intention of it being for fun only, because I can't imagine that credits have any actual worth on this site anymore. So there are no end-goal prizes -- just bragging rights and the fun that comes along with participating in a very unique and unusual tournament that will push you to your limits of brainpower and creativity. oh what the hell ROUND ONE Choice #1: Make a video of yourself doing an interpretive dance to one of the following FFR songs: Nyanyanyanyanyanyanya!, Saddest RMX, {Lazy Summer Days}, Free Space, Flight of the Bumblebee, Counter Strike Gun Sounds, Mario Eurobeat, or X-Tinction Rules: Must be the full song. Choice #2: Make a video exhibiting the greatest amount of FFR rage you can possibly muster. It doesn't have to be TERAGE-level destruction, but it would certainly help your case. Disclaimer: I take no responsibility for whatever crazy shit you may do or destroy by choosing this option. Last edited by Reincarnate; 06-12-2011 at 01:05 PM.. |

Re: MrRubix's Fscked-Up Tournament of WTF
I guess I'll try this xD Although I won't be here late June/early July, not sure how long this is so I dunno if it'll be a problem or not.

alloyus: Prolly won't matter. Some rounds will be swift, others may take a while. I'll put up a timeline for each round, but they're just guidelines that will tell you when to expect the next round. As long as you don't wait until the last minute, you'll be ok.

Re: MrRubix's Fscked-Up Tournament of WTF
No divisions. Everyone's on equal footing. At no point am I going to require a "Do really well on this FGO song" requirement

First round added. Enjoy.
Startin' off light. :P If this is too crazy for you already, you won't enjoy this tournament. It's only going to get harder. :P Last edited by Reincarnate; 06-12-2011 at 12:18 PM.. |

Do the scores on your song matter?

Not for this round, no. This round is subjective -- based on creativity
