Re: Mr. Robot
It was quite the ride. I was not expecting a psychological thriller when I started.

Re: Mr. Robot
It's about time somebody started a thread about this.
I started watching with a friend after the first 2 or 3 episodes had aired. The title was understandably off-putting, but I appreciate it much more now after watching the rest of the first season. It's captivating as hell and far exceeded any expectations I had; it could certainly be the next Breaking Bad-tier show if the quality continues, and given some of the interviews I've read with Sam Esmail (the creator), I'm hyped as fuck for what could be next. I don't want to say anything else about it beyond "watch the fucking show" because it's something that should be totally unspoiled for new viewers. |

Re: Mr. Robot
This show is amazing. It's my new Breaking Bad.
I cannot wait for more episodes. I almost feel like saying "fuck spoilers ITT, let's discuss." So many interesting ways this series could play out. Last edited by Reincarnate; 09-13-2015 at 09:46 PM.. |

Re: Mr. Robot
Hnnnnngh yes. One of those interviews I read consisted of Esmail saying something like "season one should've been the first 20-30 minutes of the movie [it was originally going to be one] and we've just scratched the surface."
It's the best surprise debut of a show I've seen in a while. I don't recall any notable marketing hype before it aired, but I've rarely paid attention to USA's network offerings before now. I hope they don't crumble under the pressure of audience expectation, which has to be pretty excessive after some of those crafty story turns. |

Re: Mr. Robot
I got 5 episodes in I think and wasn't hooked as much as I thought I'd be. Gonna finish it off eventually, it's just not at the top of my list right now

Re: Mr. Robot
Watched the finale last night, season 1 was an incredible start to this show. I cannot wait for more. I'm way into Eliot's head... or whoever it is, that person that isn't real that keeps making dialogue ~
I really find the element of psychosis fascinating in this. There's some true realism with how distant Eliot seems to be with the other parts of himself, I feel at least. I honestly just want to kick back and have no expectations; at this point I have faith in the people making this show. Also A+ cinematography, reminds me of breaking bad with the clever storytelling they are able to express. In a way I'm reminded of Evangelion which is by far my fav animated cartoon series, especially with the issues of identity and self and the "bigger cause" for the world, thematically.

Re: Mr. Robot
Anyone following season 2 yet? Loving it so far but it's a way different feel than season 1 for sure. Nonetheless the explorations are really cool.

Re: Mr. Robot
Haven't had a chance to finish season 1 yet! My friend recently got me to watch Breaking Bad (I know, I'm way late to this). Currently up to season 5, and when I finish that I'll probably finish off Mr Robot. Just up to season 1 episode 6. No spoilers pls.

Re: Mr. Robot
I watched a bit (most of) of the first episode in season 2 and was understandably completely lost as I hadn't seen an episode from season 1. I was interested from the adverts about season 1, but don't like following shows on television. I hope to go back and give this show a proper chance.
