Default Call of Duty MMO Coming True?

Source

Quote:
After Activision's Bobby Kotick hinted the possibility of a Call of Duty MMO in March 2008, a mysterious survey spread widely these few days indicated that Activision is considering creating an online service that would bring timed exclusive content, as well as premium extras, to the multiplayer side of the Call of Duty franchise.
If Call of Duty MMO is true, I really doubt it would be a good MMO for such a fast-paced FPS game.

What's your thoughts?

I disagree that call of duty is very fast paced.. =/ Maybe that's just my unreal tournament and quake talking but still. I think it could make a decent MMO but it's not likely.

The AK-74u isn't that bad. Oh wait, he's using stopping power. :l

Lol, he called the guy using the UAV jammer a douche.

radar jammers and dead silence, ftw <3

The only reason CoD would seem so fast-paced is because the maps are so small compared to other games like Resistance, where maps are much larger and enemies appear less often to a player.

For what it is, CoD is VERY fast-paced. Compare to any of the Battlefield games (which IMO would make much better MMOs) and yeah, it's very quick. As nuclearsamurai noted, this is mainly due to the smaller maps.

In less-depressing news, I got a job for an online business (which sells non-electronic games, of all things!) which has taught me a lot about marketing online and all that jazz.

So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright.
And I write the blog for their website.

Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =O
