Refreshing, hadn't read it for awhile, and it's a nice read. Though I don't think the conclusion is very practical sadly (literally??? but maybe that's just my depression speaking in contradictions :C)

yeah conclusion is basically 'oh look I'm not depressed anymore. cool' I mean, if you're so depressed that you don't want to live, there's no guarantee that you can simply slough off all and anything so that you can then find something you enjoy. Also, excersise, he rode his bike to the store. That's probably what did it...
Living with or through depression is all about enjoying, unguilt-ridden, the things you do enjoy though, no matter how small, big, possibly immoral they may be. I'm a lucky one, I found a reason for my depression. Quite often if I eat something that will set off my celiac disease immune reaction, my mental health goes to shit for a few days. |
