attn teenagers

Love does not exist. The candy-cane media portrayal of attraction is an illusion. The closest thing you will experience in your lifetime is finding someone who can put up with your quirks, and holding on to them as best you can. Stop taking relationships so seriously. You don't have one soulmate, stop expecting to meet them.

I do agree that someone ends up putting up with your quirks, but i have to believe that you grow so close to each other, know each others details (as to be able to tell what they are thinking / going to say) and eventually it ends up that you are so suited to each other that being with anyone else wouldn't work out. So in essence you become soulmates.

K if this is seriouse then here it is.

You've got some problems here bud, no relationship is that perfect. If you hardly ever fight, then you guys are holding things inside, and against eachother, and will eventually lead to the break up. So what should you do? Start asking questions, but not too much, you dont want to make her feel like you dont trust her.

I have no problem with that. That is the description of what love actually is, as far as I can judge, being a 16 year old with minimal life experience. My problem is with society as a whole expecting to meet someone off the street in a magical dream-like experience, and discover in a moment that they are perfect. My problem is with the 14 year old who has learned from every teen drama that true love is found two lockers away.

I'm not a cynic, I'm a realist. I don't look for the worst in life, I just want teenagers to get a grip.

Ah, understandable. Never realised that was what is seen as the actual description haha, just how my relationship turned out over the last 2.5 years.

Only girl I've ever been with too, which is why I don't see how anyone can be looking from the age of 14 and be having sex and all that. Looking at myself (and I have always been mature for my age) I could never see myself as being able to sustain a proper relationship before the age of 16+.

But hell, it takes time, effort, all that crap. Most of the teenagers, as you said, need to get a grip.

I read so much stuff during my modding times at teenhelp, all the "problems" of lovestruck teenagers. It was hilarious.

Most 14-16 year olds think they are mature, think they can handle it all, yet suddenly are having sex because the guy "loves" them. They have the wrong idea, which is probably due to the hormones haha.

You guys are so ignorant. Love does exist, you just dont really know it because you havent found it yet. Thats tough, dont try to make other people think otherwise.

I see you know about everyone on this forum enough to make such a general statement. Well done.

I also see how you have read every single post in this thread to realise that even in this thread alone you are wrong.

I've been here since August 2005. Same as you then.

Also, you really don't. Are you including me in that statement?

What about nforcer?

What about Synthlight?

What about Tasselfoot?

You don't have a clue.
