Re: Cats vs dogs
a lot of dogs can't really be trained tho. this thread is like... idk, comparing snails to whales or something. they are both unique and separate species, you don't necessarily have to choose one over the other
it may be for shits and giggles but its tired *sips tea*

Re: Cats vs dogs
i like all pets equally, although i find most breeds of cats cuter than most breeds of dogs with exceptions on both sides (huskies, corgis, shibas and dachshunds <3) which heavily influences my choice don't judge me

Re: Cats vs dogs
I nearly missed this
Quote:
If people have free will because they're capable of thought and therefore choosing their own actions, animals have free will too, just not as much as people do. At least, anything with a cortex has this. Positive reinforcement for a dog can be 'omg such a good doggy! *patting and getting excited at what they did*. This wouldn't work if they didn't want human attention. And punishment for a dog can be you yelling at it. If they want positive human attention it follows, to me, that they want to please a human and actually want to do the request. Dogs are social and highly attuned to the actions of people in the way that I would say people can understand other people's body language. Everything about a person's interaction with an animal like a dog screams to me 'dogs can think and understand'. Dogs. I like cats too though. |

cats
they cuddle when they need it and are readily available when I do. they leave me alone otherwise and are independant just my type.
