What happened to all the badass anime?
Hellsing, Ninja Scroll, that stuff.
The last anime I saw that I truly enjoyed was the Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture movie. I want to see a bunch of people get fucked up. I want hardcore, badass anime. What is so wrong with that?

Maybe try Evangelion. It's a mecha one, but there's blood and the mecha's get pretty fricked up sometimes.

...The guy wants an action show and you recommend Eva. There's something wrong with that.

Just ignore the comment about Eva and see what I recommended.
I agree with you though. Finding these pure action animes is not easy anymore. ~Squeek |

RE: What happened to all the badass anime?
Yeah, honestly.
Don't use your jedi anime tricks against me. I know what Evangelion is. And there are enough internet flashes made to make sure I never have to watch it ever. By the way, I appreciate the effort MrESqueek, I like a little less crazy in my anime, and a little more action. And no animals. I do hope at least one of those was a joke...

There aren't any animals in either of the animes I recommended. They aren't crazy; they're awesome. Try just watching the first episode of Champloo and Scryed. Just do it. ~Squeek |

Are you sure?
As anyone on the internet knows, NOTHING can be unseen. But I'll try it, because I like you.

Don't you mean the "mighty" and all powerful evilbutterfly? There's always Dragonball reruns if you want lots of ass-kicking.

Bah, I'm just testing the DragonBall waters with GT.
If GT disappoints me, I'm never going to touch a drgon Ball related thing ever. And DBZ isn't badass anyway. It's just hamfisted. We will see though, GT...

Dragonball GT is absolutely horrid compared to DB and DBZ, so I suggest avoiding it.
As far as action goes, Scryed and Champloo are good choices, along with Jubei-chan, Angelic Layer, and Air Master. Of course, you aren't actually looking for good action - rather, you want to see blood, gore, destruction, and such. This is a bit different from action, and it is rare that quality action gets mixed with that kind of stuff. So instead of going for those action shows, I suggest looking into Elfen Lied and Gantz, both of which appear to be exactly what you are going for. |

I like Hellsing
Make me another Hellsing, I demand it I like good action, but I don't like bad direction, or bad acting. Or stupid heroes I'll give them a shot.

Actually Samurai Champloo or Naruto would be your best bet. I mean, how cool is it to see a Capoiera fighting Samurai beat up a guy? Very cool. And Naruto has enough Ninja ass kicking to last you for a while.

B3NJ1 recommended a really good one right there. Record of Lodoss War. It's classic anime, but it's right up there with what you're looking for(senseless violence and destruction), so you might wanna give that a shot. Uh, you might wanna try Guyver:Bio Booster Armor if you want a lot of blood, but you'll probably be too busy laughing from the ridiculous concept(it's like Power Rangers with blood, not sparks) to take it seriously.

Bad-ass anime!
If you want hardcore, bad-ass anime, I suggest these titles:
-Kite -Ikki Tousen -Tenjho Tenge -Devil Lady -Cowboy Bebop -Outlaw Star -Cutey Honey |

(The Fat's Sabobah)

Samurai Champloo has awesome fight scenes and a fairly good plot. The soundtrack is also one of the best I have ever heard for an anime...aside from the opening song.
Definately worth checking out. Unless of course you arent interested in plot or character development and sh*t like that. Then I suggest Kite. It lacks plot, character development, and is hardly what I would consider entertaining...but people do get f*cked up...and I think a 12 year-old girl gets raped...a few times throughout the movie. |
