the fact remains that there ARE no reasonable resources, unless you work for the government, and even then, you prolly don't get the whole story.

Yes, the media is democratic. Journalists almost naturally favor liberalism because it is part of their profession.

If so, distinctions need to be made. Print media is usually liberal, TV is by the large liberal (save for Fox News), and radio is mostly conservative (save for NPR). While the way programs present news and the way they selectively report are usually biased, the content is quite certainly factual. Doing otherwise would spell ruin for a network. Regardless of whether or not that's what aleco meant, I like to use the terms "Conservative" and "Liberal" rather than Republican and Democrat, because the former represent general ideologies, and while the latter usually abide by their respective partisanship, they can cross over and not be completely representative of the original intent of their meaning. Wow, that was a complex sentence... --Guido http://andy.mikee385.com |

One thing about Iraq that I don't think anyone has mentioned is this: by invading Iraq, every single terrorist who is out to get us is taking up the challenge and going THERE, not HERE. It is a literal fly trap for these guys. You don't see terrorists attacking in the US or Europe much anymore, do you? All of them are attacking Iraq instead of attacking us. We may not have the right to do that to the Iraqis, but this is something that needed to be done for our safety. It wasn't about oil, because we don't have any oil from Iraq yet and the prices are nice and high just how the Liberals have been asking for for the past decade. And guess what: SUV sales are down and people are buying environmentally friendly cars! Yay! Yay! The terrorists are too stupid to attack us! Yay! Yay! Nobody likes all that fast food crap anymore! Yay! Yay! The only thing we still do stereotypically is drink coffee like everyone else in the world! Yay! Yay! Everyone say Yay!

Yay! The liberals are tugging their collars right about now! Yay! They don't have a good enough candidate to take down Bush! Yay!

I think Kerry will win, simply because 51% of the american population is ignorant.

Bush will win, Kerry is weak and indecisive. The liberals don't even like him, they only feel, for some reason, that he can beat Bush. It's unlikely that he will win. And if he does, I'll welcome him as President, such is the way of the United States. Congress is under Republican control right now anyway, and unless that will change when the new terms begin, he will be a highly ineffective President.
