I'm loving it.

Holy crap this better run smooth with insane graphical capabilities.

I might just go buy it after class today. You know what, I WILL buy it after class today.

OR RIGHT NOW. BRB.

Actually, the game isn't system intensive at all. Like, AT ALL. Major huge freakin' props to Valve for making this accessible to people with a range of system specs. I mean, my humble Athlon 3000+ with 512 Mb of RAM and a modest 9800 was able to run it MAXXED OUT (1024x768, 4x Anti-Aliasing, 8x Anisotropic Filtering) without breaking a sweat. I never go below 60 fps, which is nearly twice as good than I got on Doom III, and this game looks better. Well, ok, Doom had better dynamic shadows...but Source's insane specular and water effects, not to mention the ungodly Character models and facial animation more than make up for it.

Score. If you can max it out with that, I'll be fine.

I think the Self-Shadowing effect and several others in Doom 3 killed the CPU capabilities. HL2 doesn't have that, I believe. Not like it matters. I can't wait to buy this...

Come on, Anti. These are all fantastic screenshots, but I was expecting some whoopass combat screenies from you. Get a shot of a grenade explosion sending someone flying or something.
