Waiting For Computer to Live, sup
Computer's been acting up so Dad ran a S.M.A.R.T. test on the hard drive and it threw up a 303 error so we're gonna see what all we can do to salvage it before it kicks the bucket once and for all.
All started after we discovered brother was downloading steam stuff without us knowing, start menu and file explorer started crashing and freezing the computer so Dad's been running a buncha scans and seeing what we can do to clean up the computer whatever we can. In the meantime I've been watching a buncha Achievement Hunter and screwed around on the SkyFactory 4 modpack on Minecraft while we've been doing extra scans, too. We just got a cat as well so I've been chilling with him, too. Other than that the computer's probably gonna be done being vibe checked tomorrow so any updates will come from that cuz last thing I want is a reformatted hard drive but I think that's what's gonna need to happen; can't get a new one anytime soon. ; n; |

Rip drive; makes me think of the SSD I have duct taped to the side of my chasis because I didn't realize I needed to buy a mount separately lol. Good luck with it o.o

Re: Waiting For Computer to Live, sup
Kitty woke me up at like 4:00 in the morning so he got many pats
And I woke up to the F U R I O U S keytapping of my brother playing TF2 so I can only assume that it's working as intended; I just wish I could biologically wake up earlier than him on a consistent basis cuz my intent was to do a lil test on how long it'd take till it crashes. Doesn't seem like it'll be doing that anymore though thankfully. Not for a while anyway. We had like 36 GIGS in the recycling bin cuz I couldn't find it and he had renamed it to "trash" so that may be why it was chugging so hard. |

Also I don't think 36gb in recycle bin would make it too slow, unless thats making it so you have like, no harddrive space... I often have like 50gb+ in my recycle bin at a time because BMS song packs are thicc, but maybe it'd slow it a bit... https://www.ccleaner.com/ is a good program it delets all the junk off ur pc like caches n things Last edited by Dinglesberry; 11-11-2019 at 12:23 PM.. |
