The Original artist is Annoying Ringtone and should be credited as such even it being the Drunk Optimus Remix which is indicated in the title. see mp3 tagging: |

Re: FFR 7th Official Tournament Songs Discussion: Round 6
D5 has some really unpleasant minijack transitions with the 2 framers. I think there's one going into a minitrill which is split heavy.
D6 I'm relieved I could give this file frame treatment before it was added. It is much more playable and fun than it was before when it was absurdly messy. |

Re: FFR 7th Official Tournament Songs Discussion: Round 6
Whenever an artist makes a remix, they usually tag their name in the title for credit on the remix. The original however, is made by Annoying Ringtone.
File Thoughts D1 - Need You: Not bad overall, it's pretty simple and to the point in terms of structure. The file rating is a bit inflated in my opinion, considering the fact that the hardest portions of the song are smooth, and don't last very long. Enjoyable, but I imagine this being frustrating for the D1 competitors, because there's no hint of difficulty until at least halfway in. D2 - WHO GIVES A ****: not me, that's who [--]. In all seriousness, the chart is alright. I noticed a few pitch relevance errors, but they're barely noticeable under most circumstances. I'm not quite sure, but it looks like there's a subtle color association trick at the end the file that separates one instrument into all 4th notes and the other as 192nd notes. The file is a bit spiky, but I can see D2 players doing about the same as if not better than last round. D3 - CQ Boss: REALLY fun. Reminds me of a slightly easier of Heavenly Spores, with most of the 32nd streams being entirely indexable (minus a few jumps that collide into and out of them). Layering is understandable and chart flows great. This is a tough chart for D3; I wonder what the cutoff will be on this one. D4 - Spaceman: It's alright to me. Chart makes sense and the music sounds alright, too. I personally don't like the feel of the chart (particularly the end, where the layering is heaviest), but it's definitely accurate and very well-stepped regardless. I'm not quite sure where the cutoff will be on this one, considering D4 seems to just destroy whatever is thrown at them. D5 - Rock Rock Rock (t+pazolite Remix): wow, I almost never have this to say about a bmah chart but... I really don't like this chart. Again, it's personal preference though. It clearly makes sense, and has correct structure all the way throughout. Those patterns though... uughugahuhguah *cringe* D6 - Extratone Pirates (Drunk Optimus Remix): how the hell can someone make a speedcore song have a file this fun? The patterns are a little abrasive near the end, but it just feels awesome to be able to belt out those jumpstreams at the end of the file. Everything about this file is enjoyable to me: it has difficulty, it has replay factor, and it's incredibly memorable. My favorite of the week for sure, and it's not often that I can call my tournament file for a round the favorite. |

Re: FFR 7th Official Tournament Songs Discussion: Round 6
Fixing that artist title, was chatting to Ian about this earlier, was just waiting on clarification that it was to labelled as Annoying Ringtone, or Drunk Optimus. (Carlos linked me the artists web page as Drunk Optimus, that was all)
Edit: lmao almost missed this. Was that a reference to the 'review' you gave "You're dumb" back in mid last year? Last edited by nois-or-e; 08-12-2012 at 02:02 AM.. |

Re: FFR 7th Official Tournament Songs Discussion: Round 6
For Rock Rock Rock (t+pazolite Remix), is the artist really DJ Donna Summer? Considering t+pazolite remix is in the title...

It's the same thing as Indo No Sobaya (t+pazolite remix), where RoughSketch is the artist.

Re: FFR 7th Official Tournament Songs Discussion: Round 6
The only thing I can say is the streams in D3 feel to me like it's D6's round 2 (Since 1983). They'll need speed in this one. Besides that, it's pretty easy. Doesn't matter that I was eliminated last round, besides not winning anything. (by 2 places >=() This round I'd be toast for sure. D= My favorite song would have to be D1. Good luck to the rest of you, most of you are gonna need it!
