Re: Xoon 5: The Transition Submissions Open
Damn. If my Babylon Skorcher was rejected because of song choice or personal song choice (nothing I can do about that), I dont have anything else to step for this pack maybe. I had a couple of raggacore/breakcore songs lined up to step thats in similer intensity than Skorcher.
Edit: I actually might have 1 more for this, although skeptical. Last edited by operationstrawbarry; 11-6-2009 at 01:17 PM.. |

Re: Xoon 5: The Transition Submissions Open
did I start a trend in 512 x 160 banners ?___?
Also Flying Colours' graphics are too bright and exuberant for the song p.s. will review stuff later tonight

Re: Xoon 5: The Transition Submissions Open
(Yesssss) Chromatic Chimera
**** yesssss. Enjoyed this quite a bit. Accepted (Yesssss) Flying Colours I had a feeling that you had a singles chart for this laying around. Great file. Not as amazing as the Solo chart but still good. Accepted (Ninzaburo) Crystal Wind Didn't like the Overlayering concept. File was generic overall. Rejected. (SKG_Scintill) Keelhauled Once the vocals kicked in, I lost interest and quit out. Technicality for the most part was alright but overall it lacked replay value and the file quality for this pack. Rejected (Synexi) The Dark Blowhole Title needs to be fixed. File has an old school feel to it which is nice to still see nowadays. File is well composed however there are some minor inconsistencies and errors with it that need to be fixed (see Tsuka's notes). I could see this having a potential spot in the pack once it's fixed up. Rejected. (Roar176) She is my Wife Well structured as expected from Roar however this file didn't have too much to offer. Personally found it kinda generic. As Moches mentioned, it can be layered a bit more. Disliked the jacks even if they are technically correct. Rejected (Saphiro) Phase 7 Generic and boring as ****. Quit out. Rejected (Ninzaburo) Chaosmaid 8th left jacks are gay as ****. It is pretty left hand biased as mentioned by Tsuka. Pretty overlayered with the jump+handstream. Nothing noteworthy from this file. Rejected (OperationStrawbarry) Babylon Skorcher Song choice is questionable. I don't see any breakcore song getting into this pack. Pretty generic overall. Some inconsistencies with freezes and layering as Moches layered. Rejected Tsuka wins for best pack banner. This is official.

Re: Xoon 5: The Transition Submissions Open
imo all banners should be 500x156. Much better quality and it's resized without any distortion since it's proportional dimensions.

Re: Xoon 5: The Transition Submissions Open
418 x 164 (ITG banner dimensions) work just as well. 512 x 160 is rather large and when it resizes, it does distort some applied filters, brushes and especially scanlines.

Re: Xoon 5: The Transition Submissions Open
all of The5thMoon's graphics are fabulous, but Quake could use a bit more artistic font (see the graphics for id in ODIpack2 for an example.) the image itself compliments the song quite nicely though.
Icicles is orgasmic. I think the first background you made for Flying Colours is better actually but this one's pretty good too. Very nice work. |

Re: Xoon 5: The Transition Submissions Open
double post for reviews
love ward v2- while better than v1, it isn't different enough for me to accept. needs to be radically rebuilt/different if it's going to be in two consecutive Xoon packs. n/a crunk de gaulle- awesome, awesome file that is innovative and fun as hell accept |

Re: Xoon 5: The Transition Submissions Open
What would people think of another old school sim? Like "Like a Man" from xoon4? Or are ya'll trying to keep this new and hip and with the times? I was kind of suprised that people enjoyed it in the first place, so if its acceptable I'd like to try again.
