A brand new Volvo, 33,000 dollars.
A brand new pink bicycle without training wheels, 59 dollars. A cardboard box with wheels drawn on it, 2 dollars. Posting on an intercontinental website about a job in your local area, priceless. |

Re: Jobs at 16 (help. very specific)
Holy ****, man! Your first car is going to cost you thirty-three grand?!
And you're expecting to find a job that pays $12/hour as a completely unskilled worker? Hahahahahahahahahaha. --Guido http://andy.mikee385.com |

Re: Jobs at 16 (help. very specific)
No 18 year old needs a car that costs $32000+. My friend bought a used BMW for $4200, fully paid and it is so nice. Your best bet would be to find the highest paying retail store job around you and deal with the low wages. Like Guido said, no unskilled worker will make anything close to $12.
Your right hand might be coordinated but I doubt you can make $32000 giving hand jobs, so no that isn't a skill. |

Re: Jobs at 16 (help. very specific)
At 16, you will get no such job, unless you start juggling 10 balls at once while balancing yourself on a tricycle. They don't pay teenagers well. It's the same as some big retard at a later age who has a highschool education and no training or college education applying for a job.

Hahahahahhaha.
Yeah right, good luck finding someone who will pay that. Buying that car is a horrible horrible decision. You really need to think about what is really important concerning money, which considering your home life, seems to be that you've been spoiled with money and don't really have an idea on what money should be spent on. I've been working for a year now, and I still only make minimum wage, $7.15. Sorry that I can't help, but this thread is just ridiculous. |

Re: Jobs at 16 (help. very specific)
Well there is a factory nearby that produces parts for nuclear reactors... they pay pretty good and they hire at 16, your best bet for your job would be to check around in this kind of stuff/warehouses.
Search around in the paper, maybe you can find a good job cleaning ducts? Ask around your parent's friend's friend's friend's friends. Why not sell your harp and "Pimp out" your families current car? Then just pretty much take control of it from them when you move it, your parents probably have plans for a BMW when you move out anyways. As for the sexual favors I wouldn't suggest it being with lawyers, someone with that kind of money and power wouldn't need sexual favors from a 16 year old because of the stupid laws in place. Oh, and that idea to draw wheels on a cardboard box is still lingering... |

Re: Jobs at 16 (help. very specific)
Most companies don't like hiring under 18's anyway so you are at a disadvantage there. Theres no skills or qualifications seeing as you haven't graduated yet i imagine. So yeah your pretty much stuck doing minimum wage unskilled work. Nobody wants an unskilled 16 year old in their company.
Good luck trying to get that car. Talk about high hopes. You gotta start from the bottom and get to the top not skip right to it. =P |

Re: Jobs at 16 (help. very specific)
Yeah, tax will kick you in the balls. Remember that. Try being a bank teller. They make good money and you don't really need experience. I know someone who's 17 who works at a bank. Also try becoming a waiter.
But seriously - if I made $30,000, there's no way in hell I'd spend it all just on a car. You realize you're probably not even going to bring it to college if you go in a few years, right? |
