Eclipse (Solar) - PC remix
So over my trip in Indonesia it was raining hard one day and the tissues I was using to wipe the monitor of my laptop got wet from the rain. Some of the water dripped into the small openings of the power button and then I got:
Click the spoiler to see the images I've noticed that the eclipse moves when I tilt the laptop sideways and when it's unplugged. I'm going to conduct an experiment tonight to see if I can get it off the screen. I originally thought circuits were fried, but apparently this eclipse thing is something different? If it doesn't work I will contact Acer about it Edit: I typed "I've noticed that I noticed" god dammit

LOL acer
They have horrible customer service. I would never buy anything from them. Dell is better. Well anyway, I hope you can find a way to remove that thingy.

That's actually pretty cool man. When my laptop screen cracked I had a really dumb splotchy pattern. You should be happy you have what you have.

That black blob reminds me of the void from FFV or something.
I've had this HP laptop since 2009 and it hasn't bit the bullet yet (Y) |

Re: Eclipse (Solar) - PC remix
hey Roy -- if you put $350 for that laptop and are willing to sink your money into a new laptop, look into a Lenovo laptop. Kayla got me a Lenovo G505 for my birthday and I absolutely love it: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...?EdpNo=8176855
(You would have to downgrade from Windows 8 and get the drivers, which is only a slight hassle, but it should be alright.) alternatively, you could get the G510 from the Lenovo website at $479, and then apply promotional codes to get it < $400. Last edited by TC_Halogen; 01-17-2014 at 10:29 AM.. |

Re: Eclipse (Solar) - PC remix
That seems like a pain, thankfully the laptop is still usable though. I hope you can find a way to fix it :/
