Sens fan checking in. Although I have to admit that I am warming up to the Flames too...
Always nice to see fellow hockey lovers around! Now that I finally have a better paying job I'm going to try to make a game somewhere once per season. Being in the prairies makes it easy to see at least 3 teams at home!

Read carefully, I said most. Out of that list, Tampa is the only good team you listed. Panthers are decent but not in the running for 60+ points at the moment so jokes on you.

Caps are keeping their necks in the top 3 in the division, ovechkin sp is on fire. Personally a fan of his, one hell of a nasty goalscorer.

Well Detroit got thrashed by TB last night 5-1. Mrazek played like shit. But hey, McCollum played well, so there's that.

Re: NHL 2014-15 FFR Thread
Quote makes it read like you mention throughout all of the NHL's history. This year, yeah most suck, but in term of all time, they've all had their moments. Same as any team (save for Atlanntipeg and Columbus).

Pretty slick, yeah. Definitely on a highlight reel or two this week.
Bought tickets to my third ever hockey game! Anaheim and Calgary; should be a great game. I've only ever been to two other games, and the experience is worth every penny

Re: NHL 2014-15 FFR Thread
Last game I went to was in November 2010. I believe it was against the Blue Jackets. My favorite game though, was January 8th, 2008. It was my birthday, and Dominik Hasek got a shutout against the Avalanche. Wish I could go to another soon.

Re: NHL 2014-15 FFR Thread
@H&H
Minny was in the playoffs last year so the team is at least decent enough to do that, although they might not have the same luck this year. Rangers 6-3 last night against Panthers, was cool to watch. Heard there is an influx of new Refs coming into games now and there were definitely new ones in that Ranger game and the Pens game (lol new ref puking in the corner of the rink)

Re: NHL 2014-15 FFR Thread
well at least the canucks are holding on to a wildcard spot for now
on a lighter note, my local CHL team is 8th in the country right now, 3 way tie for 1st in QMJHL. feels gud.

Re: NHL 2014-15 FFR Thread
QMJHL never made sense to me for any of the teams outside of Quebec. It feels more like the OHL, WHL, and QMJHL were just divisions or conferences of the CHL instead of their own entities. I don't pay enough attention to the CHL to care.
I do have a few OHL teams somewhat near me (Plymouth Whalers, Saginaw Spirit), but I don't watch them. |

The day Jimmy Howard either
A. Gets Traded or B. Learns how to play in OT or Shootouts Is the day the Red Wings are destined to win the Stanley Cup. |
