Coordination > FFR
After years of heavy DDR and FFR play i feel like hand eye coordination and quickness have increased significantly. Does anyone havde any proof of this or agree?

Re: Coordination > FFR
Completely agree. Even though I'm not "quite" that ridiculous yet (not fishing for compliments, really feel that about about it), my friends at school always tell me I have "ninja reflexes" even though it doesn't feel that fast to me xP When I first started I would've never been able to pick out why I'm not fast enough for stuff other than "I'm slow," but now I'm actually able to see stuff that goes on and, if I mess up in some way, reflect on it and see how I could've done better (I actually sometimes twitch when turning a corner in the hall at school if someone's there and I didn't expect it - assuming that's my reflex telling me to get the hell out of the way xD).

Re: Coordination > FFR
I absolutely agree. Increased hand-eye coordination may also apply if you've played other rhythm games as well.
stargroup once remarked that he was more often able to catch falling objects that slipped out of his hands thanks to better reflexes from playing rhythm games. |

Re: Coordination > FFR
Uh yea. FFR involves mostly hand eye coordination.
And some memorization |

Re: Coordination > FFR
Primarily muscle memorization. I can't list each of the arrows in any song (like "Left! Right! Up! Up! Down!") but my fingers just figure out what to do by themselves. Kind of like playing a brass instrument.

Well I had no rhythm game experience before FFR (Excluding the occasional song on guitar hero at a friends house) so Ive gotten to where I am in about a year and a half of FFR, So yes, it increases you hand eye coordination greatly

Re: Coordination > FFR
Yes FFR has gave me ridiculous hand eye cordination and reflexes. sometimes I find myself dropping a small object without even really knowing yet catching it a foot before it hits the ground. And I can see things happen and comprehend it faster than a lot of people I know. Plus FFR has gave me the awesome ability to read ridiculously fast and retain at least 70% of the book. And I read stuff like Dean Koontz and Stephen King.
