Slow loading times.
So this has been going on for almost a year now, I am on a cable modem network with my roomy and am using my 1gig router, and we are both getting the slowest load times possible. Maybe even slower than that of a 56k dial-up connection. It takes about 15-20 minutes to load a single song, and it freezes multiple times during the load.
I'm using Windows XP Media Center SP2 Intel Core 2 Processor @ 1.8 Ghz with an 800Mhz bus 0.97Mhz Ram with on board video = 1gig RAM My roomy's computer has twice the power of mine is still getting the same problems but he is on a Vista, ( His Vista does nothing different during the songs and plays the songs fine, as does mine when the songs are actually loaded. ) I have static IP's for both computers so we can forward ports for our b.net games and have no problems loading anything other than the songs from this site. I've done connection tests and all have said we have a 756Mhz speed coming in and going out so I have no idea why we are experiencing these problems. I have tried with and without the router and still it is giving the same problem to both computers, we are using Metrocast cable, basic broadband connection. |

Re: Slow loading times.
Look at his server ^ It shows server name Brandon.
I'm going to test the connection without the router next as I see what might be the problem. Still, I'd need a way to fix this if it was possible to fix without getting my ISP into it. We moved to the Maine region into a house that has the most ****ed up wiring of any building you might have known, it is half built into the ground and unless we dig a trench then the ISP won't do anything about it because they don't know where the connection is coming from. Re: Slow loading times.
Or it could be the useless spam that you fill this server with =]
So this is my test without the router, it seems to have died ;o I have just now tried t play a song and it loaded faster than with the router on. Now, it has never done this before, but my router firewall might be blocking some of the inbound packets from the FFR server, so I might have configured something wrong in my router. But an easy way to make this work with the router would be to of course forward the port that this server connects to. If you have any idea as to what it is, I could get right on it and test it out.
